Rose Cottage Gite with Private Pool

Rose Cottage has been beautifully modernised in keeping with its original and charming features. Cosy and comfortable with an open plan kitchen, dining and TV chill out space. There is an outdoor patio area for evening drinks leading into the courtyard for dining and BBQ's and private pool and garden area The night sky is amazing and clear for stargazing There are walking lanes outside your front door. The Limousin Region is .... "The Land of a Thousand Lakes" and "The Lake District of France" Comprising of a large master/family bedroom with a super kingsize bed and a day/single bed. There is a shower room next door with a shower, toilet and hand basin. A second bedroom on the ground floor can be a double OR at your request can have single beds, with a toilet and basin. The kitchen is complete with all modern and new appliances equipped with a separate fridge and freezer, microwave, fresh coffee maker and washing machine. A log burner, not that you will need this in the lovely hot summer evenings, unless you want to have cosy stay in the winter months. The pool is closed from October to April. The cottage provides a good connection to WiFi, as well a large selection of books to read, DVD player and CD music player. We have two parking areas one at the right hand side of the cottage and another on a private drive but plenty more parking spaces available if required. The lane outside the cottage is only accessed twice a day by the farmer. PLEASE inform me if there is more than three cars With prior notice we can accommodate your caravan or motorhome I will message you near to the start of your holiday and on the day of your arrival to check if there is anything you need or if there are any travel delays. There will be a detailed information folder in the Cottage. Our policy is very much to leave you to your own devices once you're settled in but please do not hesitate to message me anytime if there is something you need. We will need to perform pool maintenance (check the water composition and change the filters) on a regular basis - and water the plants in hot weather. We will be discreet and do these tasks at a time that will disturb you as little as possible. Lovely walking lanes outside your front door. A Lake and observatory hut is just a 5 minute walk. We are surrounded by the Historic Towns of Le Dorat, Bellac, Montmorillon. Moving around by car is recommended if you are to enjoy this beautiful region with excellent uncrowded local roads. For the more energetic, cycling is a popular way of getting about bicycle hire can easily be arranged from a local suppliers. There are good local hiking trails, or you can enjoy a leisurely walk along one of the many nearby tracks. A nature reserve bird sanctuary and lake" Etang de Murat" is just five minutes walk away with its own viewing hut. Our local village, Lussac-Les-Eglises, is typical of the very best of rural France. It has a Boulangerie, a well stocked local store selling fresh fruit and veg with a delicatessen counter and fresh meat. A hairdressing salon, chemist, petrol station, post office, Tabac and two friendly bars/restaurants. Equestrian Centre at Arnac La Poste is only a 20 minute drive away. Lac De Mondon is only a 10 minute drive away, where you can take in the beautiful scenery and stunning riverside walks, with its outdoor swimming pool, children's play area, with a bar/restaurant overlooking the lake. Lac De Pardoux, Haute-Vienne's largest artificial lake, the second largest lake in the Limousin. Lac De Pardoux has lots of activities and a leisure complex, including watersports, windsurfing, cycling routes and spectacular walks. The lake has three man made beaches to enjoy relaxing days in the sun. We are surrounded by the Ancient Towns of Le Dorat (20 minute drive) and Bellac (30 minute drive) with it's Restaurants, Bars & Shops The City of Limoges with its historic porcelain factories and museum within an hour. Parc Zoo Reynou with its castle of 19th century and 600 animals of which 130 species native of five continents and more than 120 species of plans. The Zoo is a 1 hour drive away. The Beautiful Town of Montmorillon is classed as a "Town of Art and History". There are several churches of interest. Montmorillon is a 30 minute drive.
