Lovely home with a 'cottage feel' in the middle of historic Sevenoaks, for short lets (min 2 nts) or longer periods. Very close to station, town and Knole House's deer park. This is a fully functioning, yet 110-year-old house of 170 m2. Large decking at the back, overlooking a good size, flat garden. Open kitchen with large dining table. Woodburner in lounge. Great for family or as a share by several workmen or business people who can use a bedroom each. Lovely house with several open spaces, a cosy feel with wooden floors and a wood burner, with plenty of wood available. The lounge also has a sofa bed. Close walking distance to Sevenoaks mainline station (fast connection to London) and into lively, historic town. You can also walk (or drive just 5 minutes) to Knole Park (deer), Vine cricket pitch and Hollybush playground. Leisure centre close by too. Great that everything is walkable, because parking spaces are difficult to find and have become expensive Good size garden with large decking (careful: slippery when wet!); very quiet street with off-road parking for 2 cars. Sleeps 8 or 9 + baby in four bedrooms: 3 with double beds (one has an extra single bed), 1 bedroom with 2 single beds + cot or toddler bed. There are 3 bathrooms: 2 with a shower, 1 with a bath. Separate toilet on first floor. There is also a sofa bed in one of the lounge areas, please let me know if you want to use that as an additional double bed. You can cater for yourself in the fully equipped kitchen. Please bring your own food, shampoo, dishwasher tablets, etc. Plenty of nice pubs and restaurants for drinks, lunch or dinner in Sevenoaks town and surrounding villages. Loads to do around here. Plenty to explore on foot, by car or by train/bus - If especially requested beforehand, breakfast can be provided (for a small fee). You can look at Tripadvisor for the best 10 things to do in Sevenoaks. Plenty of tips there! Sevenoaks Leisure Centre with covered pools; Hollybush playground, tennis courts and playing fields; Many National Trust properties close-by: Knole Park, Chartwell, Ightham Mote, Emmetts Garden, Sissinghurst Castle, etc. Also nice to visit Hever Castle, Leeds Castle, Bewl Water Reservoir for cycling, walking, fishing. Bedgebury Pinetum for cycling. Walks and pub lunches can be enjoyed in surrounding villages. There is a Marks & Spencers in Sevenoaks town, as well as many other shops. Plenty of cafes, pubs and restaurants to choose from too: for eating inside, outside and takeaways. Sevenoaks is perfectly situated for London: less than 30 minutes by train into the City (London Bridge/Cannon Street) and the West End (Charing Cross) This is a very cosy house, deceptively spacious. It feels very old, yet has modern bathrooms, a good kitchen and several spaces to relax in. Whoever steps into this house likes the atmosphere instantly. Everybody also always comments on the brilliant location for everything you could possibly need!
