The perfect location for a family retreat in the heart of North Dorset's Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Whether you are looking to relax in the garden, discover the local villages & pubs or explore the Jurassic Coast, there is plenty on offer for all ages. Home is a peaceful space with open rooms and soft furnishings where guests can relax & unwind whilst kids play safely inside & out. Fully-equipped with games, books & Netflix, this is somewhere to hunker down and enjoy some family time. This spacious 3-bedroom home is suitable for families of up to 6, including two double bedrooms and a room with bunk bed. The main bedroom has an adjoining dressing room which is also suitable for a travel cot. The second bedroom has an ensuite bathroom. Guests have sole use of a sizeable and well-equipped kitchen, spacious living area, children's play area and fenced garden with fire pit and lockable shed. Guests can enjoy off-road parking with space available for 2 cars. Public transport is limited, however Blandford Forum and the villages 10km East and West are very accessible by bike via a the Dorset Trailway. If I am not available when needed, there will be someone close by who will. A small and sleepy village nestled within North Dorset's Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Durweston offers the perfect escape into nature. Our quiet street backs out onto a sweeping valley which leads to plentiful forests, farmland and the river Stour - and no need to set foot on a road! Cycling routes are plentiful for families, mountain bikers and road cyclists; circular walks start on your doorstep and can last from 20 minutes to endless hours; good local pubs are within half an hour's walk; the local park, which is as quiet as the village itself, is the perfect place for outdoor games, including tennis and football. There is also a skate ramp and a zip line! Public transport is limited and a car or bike is highly recommended. Blandford Forum is a short drive/cycle away, where you will find supermarkets and other larger stores. The Jurassic Coast and swimming beaches are a 35 minute drive away and boast some of the most dramatic walks in the UK. Further details on local attractions will be provided before check-in.
