The Charming Gite of Pladellac

In a haven of lush nature and calm, this beautifully restored hamlet home, labeled " Gite de Character " by Gite de France, is situated in the heart of the Pyrenees-Ariege Natural Park at 600 meters altitude. The views from the private, south facing, fenced in garden are supurb and often animated by the abondant wildlife. Totally restored with traditional materials and decorated with care, this spacious home ( 170² meters ) with private bathrooms in each room, will assure your comfort. Only 5 minutes drive to the village of Rimont where you can buy the necessities and some of the delicious regional products, the gite is ideally situated for visits to the many historic and famous prehistoric sites. If you are coming for the rich and divers nature, you have numerous walks starting right from the house. Whether relaxing in the couch hammock or eating in the garden, enjoying the lovely views and listening to the silence occasionally interrupted by the songbirds, you will discover our splendidly preserved region. The house has all the comfort you will need. The living area is spacious and has kept the charming features of the original building. Each of the bedrooms can be made with 2 single beds or drawn together to form one large bed ( 1.80 m ). The beds are made on your arrival. The kitchen is fully equipped with even the champaigne glasses! There is a scullery with cloths washer and dryer, iron and ironing board, hair dryer, ecological cleaning products, sewing kit, etc A childs highchair and crib are also available. The entire house and garden are for you. Across the rarely used street there is a large parking space and farm stucture where the car can be parked. The hamlet is in a farming/wooded countryside so you are quite free to explore the surroundings. We shall greet you upon your arrival and show you around the house . We are readily available for any advice or help for your needs. Our wish is for you to have the best experiance possible and that you discover our corner of the world that we love so much. It is necessary to have private transportation. The ground floor has easy access to the fenced in private garden. There is a BBQ, garden furniture, picnic table and couch hammock. Indoors, the ground floor includes the kichen and dining area, living room with fireplace, a scullery, a toilet with hand washbasin, 1 bedroom with an adjoining bathroom comprised of wash bassin and a bathtub. Upstairs are 2 bedrooms, one with adjoining bathroom comprised of shower , toilet and washbasin. and the other with wash basin and toilet. All 3 rooms can be made with 2 single beds or 1 large double bed. The beds are made for your arrival. We provide 15 kwv of electricity per day which covers normal usage of the house without the heating(hot water, lights, stove and oven, dish washer and cloths washer) . Consumption over 15 kwv a day is charged 0.17 € a kwv. There is a wood stove and we provide the wood. There are also electric heaters in all the rooms and if used, can vary between 5 to 20 € a day, depending on your habits. July and August we only accept weeklong stays from Saturday to Saturday.
