The Maltings Studio - lovely location near Cartmel

The Maltings Studio is a spacious and stylish self-contained ground floor suite for two (with a King-sized bed or two singles). It is located in the peaceful Lake District countryside within easy walking distance of Cartmel Village and all it's amenities. There are also many walking and cycling routes to explore directly from the Studio. It is part of an 18th century restored barn called The Malting House, where malt was stored and used to brew ale for the monks of Cartmel Priory. The studio has a private entrance, a large bedroom with King-sized bed (or two singles), living area and kitchenette, an en-suite shower room and it's own dressing room. The kitchenette has a microwave/grill, kettle, toaster and fridge. Outside there is a private sunny garden with table and chairs from which you can enjoy the views of the countryside. There is parking space for 1 car on the drive. (Please note there are two flights of 7 outdoor garden steps down to the Studio from the parking space, however you can unload your car at the front of the Studio where there are just 2 steps.) If you love looking at starry skies there are no street lights so on a cloudless night you will have wonderful views. The Studio provides total privacy with it's own access; however we are always delighted to talk with guests. As we live on the premises we will be available most of the time should you need us either in person or by text. The Maltings Studio is in a lovely rural setting within a group of 6 converted barns. It has views over fields and farmland but is only 100 meters walk to a lovely local hotel restaurant and 15 minutes walk to the village of Cartmel where you can sample all the delights of Michelin star restaurants, charming pubs, the famous Sticky Toffee Pudding, locally brewed beer, cheese, wine, pizza and coffee shops. The promenade at Grange-over-Sands is only a 5 minute drive and Lake Windermere and access to the Lakes only a 15 minute drive away.
