The Door of the Castle

A charming independent apartment in the Castello area (400 years old renovated in 2020). It has a small garden, a bedroom, a small bathroom + kitchen/dining room with extra bed. Ideal for a couple or a family with one child. The neighborhhod is very quiet because it is in a restricted traffic area. There is Wi-fi, a small TV and a washing machine. One small dog is accepted. Private parking on site. The center of town , shops, restaurants, the lake and the ferries area at a few minutes walk. Maria or Fabio (Maria's husband) are available to give all the information to enjoy the area and visit the surrounding. Fabio is born, speaks native English and French very well. The House is on a pebble stone road which leads, with a short five minute walk, down to the center of Menaggio, in a very quiet neighborhood with traffic restricted just to residents. Wifi connection is good, and the place is ideal to concentrate and work. Menaggio is well connected with public transportation to the airport and Milan. The lake villages, such as Bellagio, can be visited by boat. A car is not really needed. The house for rent is located in Menaggio, on the western shore of Lake Como about mid lake, just 15 min. by ferry from Bellagio and Varenna. Menaggio is one of the most important towns on Lake Como and has been a tourist attraction for hundreds of years. The house is ideal for who travels by public transportation. Menaggio is very well served by buses and boats and a main train line is just across the Lake, in Varenna, 15 minutes away by ferry. One can easily navigate the whole lake by public ferries. Bellagio and Varenna are only a short boat ride away. Lugano, in Switzerland is only 15 miles away, well served by public transportation. For who comes by car the house has a nearby parking.
