Le Trésor is a place of serenity, away from it all, yet close to everything. Imagine waking up to the sounds of the birds, views of the valley and majestic dressage horses nearby. On the covered terrace, enjoy breakfast or a glass of wine at the end of your day exploring the area. This is a peaceful retreat with all the amenities you could possibly need. The converted stone barn went through a series of renovations over the past years, creating a beautiful and charming house. The guest house (La Petite Perle) is also available for booking if extra space is required. Please inquire. The main floor of the house: new sofa bed in living room, new dishwasher and microwave in the fully equipped kitchen, full sized fridge, washer/dryer, bathroom with shower. The entire upper floor of the house is a large master bedroom with a queen bed and futon with quality bedding. New for 2019: screens on patio slider doors and bedroom window to keep the insects out. **Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and for your safety, we have taken additional precautions to ensure the property is thoroughly disinfected between guests. If you wish to bring your own pillows, bedding and towels, please let us know. We are requiring 3 days between guests and ask that you do not visit the property should you be symptomatic. Private garden, patio, terrace, plenty of parking for cars and bikes. You will obtain a code for the keylock box 24 hours before arrival. You will have full privacy during your stay. If you need anything at all, our property manager can assist you. The house is located in a hamlet, less than 3 km to the village of Varaignes. It is a quiet and peaceful location, but very close to all amenities. You will need a car. From CDG airport or Gare Montparnasse (Paris), catch the high-speed TGV direct to Angouleme. There are plenty of options for rental cars near the train station. Nearest international airports: Limoges (1 hour), Bergerac (1.5 hours), Bordeaux (2 hours) The charming one bedroom house is set up perfectly for a couple, plus a futon in the large first floor bedroom. In addition, we have added a new pull out sofa in the living room. If you two couples are travelling together, additional guesthouse space is available in 'La Petite Perle'. Set up as the perfect retreat for 1-2 adults. The space has its own private water closet and footed tub. Note: there is no kitchen nor television in this studio space. To book, please inquire.
