The contemporary retreat with its own private entrance and decked area is located over Allt a’ Chaorach. The simple interior includes vintage furniture, floor-to-ceiling windows and reclaimed wooden flooring. The room has a king-sized bed, a walk-in shower and a drinks refrigerator. Fully heated for winter use and a patio door for summer comfort. Tea/coffee provided in the room. Luss Village is a short walk (10 minutes approx.) with access to Luss Pier, the historic church and the Bonnie Banks of Loch Lomond; an ideal base for wedding guests, hill walking and sightseeing. Although we have no cooking facilities there are a number of local restaurants and eating places nearby. There is secure parking via electric gates for those travelling by car and the A82 Luss bus stop is a short 5 minutes walk away. It is an ideal stopover for North Coast 500 travellers. A packed breakfast basket is delivered directly to you in the morning allowing you to eat at your leisure, in the privacy of your own space. In addition to their en-suite room, guests are welcome to use the private outdoor decked area and park in the drive. Our family live in Darroch Cottage and can help guests with information about places to visit and eat. Keypad access codes are provided for driveway gate and room, so guests can come and go as they please. Due to the proximity of the stream our accommodation is more suited to adults only. It is a pet free zone as there are sheep in adjacent fields! Luss is a popular Scottish village with pretty stone cottages and pier on Loch Lomond. There are numerous loch side, riverside and woodland walks including the Heritage Trail, Quarry Walks & Faerie Trail. Popular for hillwalking including the local Ben Dubh plus Conic Hill and Ben Lomond on the eastern side of the loch. Ideal for Loch Lomond Cycle Path, a 17-mile cycleway and footpath from Balloch to Tarbet along the western side of loch. (we are situated about halfway). Regular buses from Glasgow and Crianlarich plus Citylink coaches which stop on the A82 ( a 5 min walk from us). This is one of two garden rooms available - see separate listing for 2nd room.
