The hostess runs her own furnishing boutique (Provenance) in the annex and is therefore practically always personally available. In the immediate neighbourhood there is a reasonably priced restaurant. Upon request we can organise a take away from there at your arrival. Bettenhausen-Bollodingen lies at 480 m above sea level, 2 km south-east of Herzogenbuchsee and 7 km south-west of Langenthal (as the crow flies). This small village lies on the plain of the Altachental valley on the northern edge of the Molasse hills of the higher Mittelland (Buchsiberge), in Oberaargau and is an ideal starting point for hikes in the immediate vicinity, as well as in the nearby Napfgebiet and Emmental. With a population of 637 (as at 31 December 2017), Bettenhausen-Bollodingen is one of the small municipalities in Canton Bern. Public transport / bus 50m, next train station in Herzogenbuchsee 4 km with connections to Bern, Olten/Basel, Zürich Bern can be reached by car in only 25 minutes, Solothurn in only 20 minutes, Burgdorf in 15 minutes. Only 20 minutes by car you reach the Kiddy Dome, the largest indoor family experience in Switzerland. The Mittelland offers endless possibilities for hiking, biking, outdoor activities such as rope parks and summer tobogganing between Jura, Emmental and Napf.
