Minutes from Capitol Hill and next to two major freeways (295 and 50), Cheverly is perfectly located for DC guests! Enjoy your own private entrance, full bath, kitchenette, large plasma smart TV, fireplace, dinning area, and queen pullout and full mattress. Additionally, you have access to the laundry room, shared by you and homeowners. With high ceilings and plenty of windows for natural light, this space hardly feels like a basement studio, but rather a bright and open oasis. The floors are new cork, very soft and comfortable. In the kitchenette there is a bar with stools that doubles as an island. There is Netflix available on the large flatscreen, so guests can enjoy a show or movie anytime. Separate entrance with a keypad through basement stairs in back yard. We live upstairs and are available by phone/text if you have questions, but we respect your privacy and aim to have minimal interaction. The neighborhood of Cheverly is very low crime, very safe for the DC area. Several neighborhood parks nearby. Aldi grocery store and Walgreens only 3 minute drive. We're conveniently located near two major freeways (295 and 50). Also, we're walking distance (about 15 mins) from the metro- Cheverly stop on the orange line, if you plan to exclusively walk/bike. We love our studio apartment and hope we can share it with you! The space is equipped with clean sheets, pillows, blankets, bath towels, and a stand up closet to hang clothing. The kitchenette is stocked with basic essentials such as plates, bowls, glasses, and utensils, coffee maker, paper towels, and a few pots and pans. No spices available other than salt and pepper. IMPORTANT NOTE: this location is not ideal for long terms stays for those without car, as we are not walking distance to a grocery store—unless you are ok with getting groceries delivered. IMPORTANT NOTE: given that this is a studio apartment and essentially one large living space, it can comfortably accommodate 2 guests for long-term stays. Those long term guests are able to have an overnight visitor and therefore the space can sleep up to 4, but we prefer to not have more than 2 guests per reservation.
