Sea and hillside views - sunny Cornwall cottage

Views of the sea, harbour + National Trust hillside from all front rooms + large terrace. This newly renovated 3 bedroom coastguards cottage, comfortably accommodates 5 people. Open-plan downstairs with the morning sun at the front, + evening sun at the back. Modernly furnished + well-equipped. Back garden with BBQ. On the cliff path and 3 mins walk to the beach + harbour. Lovely village with excellent f+c. You can see, hear + smell the sea! Sat to Sat lets. Shorter stays poss out of season Family, friends and myself love the cottage and the area. The scenery is forever changing, there's new discoveries, and it's like coming home on each visit - I hope it will be for you also. It's just 3 minutes walk to the beach and the centre of the village. You can pop down for a swim or a walk around the cliff path before breakfast. The cottage is comfortable, clean and relaxing. There's a log burner with fuel for your first fire. I aim to have all basic facilities in the kitchen and around the house. There's a washing machine, and washing line (in back garden). There's a camping cot, high chair, and stair gate. There's a selection of books, toys and games. There's some body-boards, buckets + spades in the end shed. There's a shower room with basin and toilet, (with step up to shower). Also a toilet downstairs. There are steps from the drive to the terrace and house, and granite steps at the back to the back garden. Access is by key safe (beside the front door) - I'll let you know the code before your arrival. You'll have access to all indoor and outdoor space, except for a small storage room at the back of the Ist floor and an outside shed. You can feel completely at home. There's parking space for one and a carpark in the centre of the village. I'm available by email and by phone. There's someone local if needed during your stay. Gorran Haven is a friendly and peaceful seaside village. There are two local beaches, both sandy and relatively sheltered. One is at the bottom of the hill and the other is accessed only by steps when the tide is in. The cottage is on the cliff path, leading to Portmellon and Mevagissey to the north, and Vault beach and Dodman Point to the south. There are cafes close to Gorran beach for coffee and snacks, a general store and excellent fish & chip shop. The Llawnroc Hotel has food and live music during summer, and The Barley Sheaf at Gorran Churchtown has bands and various entertainment. There are of course many wonderful local beaches... Plus Heligan Gardens, Caerhays Castle and garden, the Eden Project, and Watergate Bay on the other coast! There's lots more in the Info folder in the cottage. You really need a car, unless you're on a walking holiday! There's space for one car in the drive and there's parking elsewhere in the village. You can take a boat trip from Gorran, or a ferry from Falmouth to St Mawes, and you can catch the train form Truro to St Ives and Penzance. Do contact me for dates you're interested in. There'll be tea, coffee and biscuits for you on your arrival. You may want to order a grocery delivery - I suggest you use Tesco or Sainsbury (Asda has never found us!). You're welcome to use the everyday cooking supplies in the cupboard (cooking oil, herbs etc) and it's most helpful for the next visitors if you replenish anything that you've run low on - thank you. Mobile phone signal is now generally excellent and wifi is available.
