'Le Farat' Luxurious Private Bed & Breakfast Suite occupies the rear wing of the farmhouse. It has a private access and garden as well as a large marble bathroom, walk-in wardrobe, fridge, adjoining breakfast/TV room (cutlery and microwave on request for a small fee), high beamed ceilings and antique furniture. In addition to 2 adults we can cater for up to 2 children for a small additional fee. The suite is approximately 85m2 and contains all you need for an overnight stay or a longer break. The rooms have high beamed ceilings and are light, cool and airy. Luxury linens and towels are provided, a super-king bed 180x200cm, that can be split into two singles if required, two sofas (one is a sofa bed for children) flat screen TV, antique furniture and dressing table with marble top. Guests have access to coffee and tea facilities, hair dryer large fridge, iron and ironing board as well as deckchairs and tourist information. Cutlery and plates are available for a small fee you wish to prepare your own meals. Equally shared use of our large saltwater swimming pool and access to our games room containing air hockey, table tennis, table football and darts is also included. The large brick built BBQ is also available to use with the vine covered alfresco dining area. We live on site and are available as little or as often as you need us to be. We can advise on places to visit and things to do if required as well as book restaurants or attractions. We are open and flexible in our approach to our guests needs. Auvillar is a pretty gallo-roman bastide village over looking the River Garonne. It is listed as one of France's prettiest villages and is an important stop on the GR65, the famous St Jacques de Compostelle pilgrims walking route through France to Lourdes. Auvillar hosts numerous events including a popular wine festival in June, many musical and arts festivals as well as plenty of other festivities throughout the summer months. So lots to see and do as well as discover the surrounding area. The region is well known too for its fruit and vegetable production and is known locally as the garden of France. There are vineyards, Armagnac distilleries with plenty of local farms producing good local wine! As we are in a rural location, it is advisable to hire a car, there are no local bus services and although taxis are available they are expensive. There are a number of trains that run daily to and from Toulouse, Montauban and Agen. There is plenty of parking on site adjacent to the B&B suite. The closest airport is Toulouse Blagnac (50 minutes), which is served from the UK by British Airways, EasyJet and Jet2, alternative airports are Bordeaux, Bergerac and Carcassonne, which are all served by budget airlines including Ryan Air, but are 1.5 hours or more by car from Le Farat. The room is available with a 1.80m super-king (queen) double bed or a twin room (2x90cm) option . Equally we are able to accommodate up to 2 children on a king-size sofabed for an extra charge. We have many positive reviews for 'Le Farat' on the usual sites.
