Domaine Lou Castet, B&B with views of Pyrenees
‘Domaine Lou Castet’ means the domain of the castle in old French. This majestic property, more than 200 years old, offers a comfortable bed and breakfast, set in a peaceful large garden with views of the Pyrenees Mountains. Practically located, 10 min drive from the highway and 40 min drive from pilgrimage town Lourdes. There are 4 double rooms and 1 twin room. All rooms have private bathrooms. Total occupancy is 2 people/room. Price per room per night is 69 euros incl. breakfast, WiFi and tax. In the communal area is a coffee and tea corner. Our guests can use this for free at their own convenience. Around the fireplace are comfortable sofas, board games and a small book exchange. In warmer season the garden is the perfect hangout with hammocks, a pick nick table in the shade of the walnut tree and a small terrace. We will be there to welcome you during the check-in procedure. Also during breakfast you will find us in the communal area. As our house is situated in the building next to the bed and breakfast, we will be available when assistance is needed. The Hautes Pyrenees is famous for hiking, fishing and many cols (race bike tracks) like the Col d’Aspin. In the neighbourhood are a beautiful castle (Château de Mauvezin), a Roman village with impressive cathedral (St. Bertrand de Comminges), an abbey (Abbaye de L’Escaladieu‘), a basilica (Basilique St. Juste de Valcabrère), and several (prehistoric) caves like the 'Gouffre d’Esparros' with gorgeous crystal formations. Airport Tarbes-Lourdes is the closest to us at 40 minutes drive away. The airport of Toulouse is just over 1 hour drive. The nearest train station is at Lannemezan (15 minutes drive away). When arriving by car, take exit 16 from the highway A64. You will find Domaine Lou Castet on the D938 opposite the church in Tuzaguet. Children up to 3 years old can stay in the double room. We can provide a baby bed (120 x60cm) incl. bed sheets at an additional fee of 10 euros.
