Traditional house in Samos

In the heart of Karlovasi, this 17th century well restored house provides all a visitor can ask. Its thick stone walls keep it naturally warm in the winter and very pleasantly cool in the summer. One can have bbq in the yard or enjoy a glass of wine The house is quite typical of the old architecture of Karlovasi and it is very well situated - just one minute from the central square. It's thick stone walls block the heat in the summer and the cold in the winter and provide natural adjustment of the temperature all year round. The inside yard can give you great moments with your company or friends, testing the unique Samos wine. The house has been recently renovated. The structure has changed: the front room has a loft that hosts a double bed, while beneath it there is a sofa which sleeps one more person. The inside room has a single bed and it can easily host one more bed (there is a double air mattress, an extra mattress serving as the back of the sofa in the front room). There is a baby travel bed sleeping a child up to 5-6 years old. The study desk is also moved in the front room. The yard has been also renovated Note that the house is equiped with a dehumidifier and air purifier keeping humidity down in the house. The house has a great atmosphere all year round The guests have access to all spaces of the house. I'm at your disposal at all times. If I'm not actually there, someone else will be for questions, any kind of help and tips. Karlovasi is beautiful, especially the neighborhood that starts from my place and goes up the hill. You must spend a few hours wondering around the very narrow streets and the house yards. People in Karlovasi are really fond of their yards and look after them a lot. One may see many well or less well known flowers and trees. The architecture of the neighborhood is also a travel in time... Well, in Karlovasi there is no problem. Most places are accessible by foot and there are frequent buses to the port and one of the best beaches of the island, which is near by (3-4 km). In order though to move around the island, transportation is difficult. Hitch-hiking is possible and there are some buses for budget solutions. Yet, if you really want to move around, you must consider renting a car or a moto.
