Self contained mountain top retreat

Bwthyn Bach (little cottage) is up a single track tarmac road which leads you up through the woods to the top of a mountain next to the famous Forest Drive. From one side of the property you have breathtaking views to Pen y fan in the Brecon Beacons and from the other side you have forest mountain views. It’s perfect for a relaxing getaway . Breakfast basics are included, fresh eggs (from my hens) cereals, milk, bread, butter , jam, marmalade, tea and coffee 😀 Lie in bed and be mesmerised by the wonderful views 😀 You will have sole use of our beautiful annex called Bwthyn Bach which has everything you’ll need for a short or longer stay including kitchenette and spare pull out futon bed which turns into a single bed next to the comfy double bed ( if you need this spare bed made up please let me know in advance so I can make sure everything is ready for you ) this is a studio so if the spare bed is needed, it is set up next to the double bed. You will have private access to Bwthyn Bach ( little cottage ) which has fantastic views through a huge triangular window to the Brecon Beacons from one side and Forest mountain views from the other side. Guests have use of a large garden/ patio / bbq area and there is a designated space with table and chairs and loungers . Because of our remote location we advise you keep an eye on weather conditions in winter months as if it’s snowy or icy the road up here can be impassable by car. I am available by text or phone but live next to Bwthyn Bach so if you need anything I’m usually here :) Cwmcarn forest drive mountain biking trails are on our doorstep. The Brecon Beacons, Waterfall walks, Big pit and Caerleon are all nearby There are several supermarkets nearby and Newport is only a 15 min drive away and Cardiff is only 25 mins away You will need a car to stay here as we are on the top of a mountain so there is no public transport to the property. Taxis can be arranged in advance and there are plenty of places to eat within a 10 minute drive away We have ducks and chickens . We also have horses and are happy for you to bring your horse on holiday for a small additional fee. The moors are on our doorstep so offers fantastic hacking ... We have 2 dogs which are kept separate from guests
