Burry Farm Cottage

Burry farm is in an ideal location to explore the whole Gower peninsula. It is only 10 minutes away from the coast and a choice of at least 5 beautiful beaches. We welcome families and couples and are dog friendly (sorry no cats) The cottage is within 4 miles of the following wedding venues King Arthur, Fairy Hill, Old Walls, Oxwich bay & Ocean View. I am happy to arrange a suitable arrival time for wedding guests. Need an extra ensuite bedroom? try our new Whitewell barn. Our farm cottage is full of character with stone walls and beams. It was built 10 years ago for use by my family all living in London. Burry is very much a farming area and we are adjoining fields with sheep and cattle. The accommodation consists of 2 bedrooms to sleep up to 6. One bedroom with a double bed, wardrobe, dressing table, side table, lamp and chair. The second bedroom (our family room) has 1 double & 2 single beds and a cot. It has 2 bedside tables & lamps and wardrobe. It is perfect for young children who like their parents to sleep in the same room. There is a full sized cot, 2 stair gates, highchair and baby bath. There are 2 double beds which would suit 2 couples. The kitchen is fully equipped with dishwasher, washing machine, fridge-freezer, oven, hob and microwave. The lounge is very spacious perfect for relaxing after a busy day. Games, toys and dvds are provided. Tv with free view and wifi. Outside there is a private patio with garden furniture. The propery is surrounded by our flower & vegetable garden and during the summer it resembles an allotment. Produce is for sale at the farm gate. There is a shower room upstairs with a large quadrant step in shower, hand basin and toilet ( no bath). It is tiled floor to ceiling. There is a handy downstairs toilet and hand basin also. Guests have private use of the whole cottage & patio (with garden furniture). Tourist information is provided with suggestions for coastal walks, beaches and places of interest. I am always happy to give advice on restaurants, pubs and places to eat out. Burry is in perfect location to explore the whole Peninsula. Beautiful beaches on our doorstep. Port Eynon is the nearest, perfect for families. Visit Worms Head in Rhossili voted into the Top 10 views of the world. Eat out, and enjoy a drink at the King Arthur, highly recommended only 5 mins by car. Book surfing lessons in the Llangennith surfing school The Gower Heritage Center is perfect for young families or Perriswood Archery. The nearest bus service is from Reynoldston approx every hour. [seasonal] To explore the peninsula a car is essential. A local black cab operates. Please note max of 2 sociable dogs allowed. As we are adjoining fields with animals they must be on a lead. We are on a quiet country lane leading to common land. If no animals are present dogs can be off lead. Nearly all West Gower beaches are dog friendly. Dogs are not to be left unattended in the property. Mobile reception is very patchy you are welcome to give my land line number if you need to be contacted.
