Olive Farm Retreat

A truly unique off grid location - in a remote Cypriot settlement called Sterakovou which the locals call Sterako (only six residential farm houses), on a lower mountain terrain with amazing views, overlooking expansive sea view and extensive views of countryside and mountains. A rustic, rural and tranquil remote location, set in large private grounds of olive and other fruit trees, with swimming pool. A good location for artists, photographers, hikers, walkers, ramblers, campers, mountain bikers, yoga retreaters, star gazers, bird and nature lovers, (also nearby private donkey sanctuary), historians and anyone wanting to see the true Cyprus. A great location to de-stress and unwind. On booking we will email you a pictorial direction sheet to our farm, as there are no road names/signs. Use of sun lounge, all patios with guests free to roam grounds and local area. Use of swimming pool. Those booking during the coldest days may join us in our winter lounge with our traditional stone - log burning fire place. Additional option of hiring our activity studio per hour (for your own yoga etc), or with further payment, to have dance tuition by your qualified host! Your informative hosts are able to give you directions and advice in order to give you the holiday experience you seek, with as little, or as much contact with you as you desire, acknowledging those who wish to socialise, and those who prefer to be more isolated in their experience. Let us know which you are! This is a rural, remote area. We are 5.3 kilometres from the nearest main road, of which 4 kilometres are unmade road. Not suitable for sport cars and similarly low cars. To access there is no public transport, so you will require a car. As we are located on low mountain terrain, be aware of uneven ground and protruding rocks and changes of levels/uneven surfaces, with caution particularly if walking at night, both in our grounds and surrounding areas, so not suitable for anyone with mobility problems. Note that we have limited outside lighting and our pool is not fenced with a steep drop to the rear of pool. There is a stable/riding school in the area and we can introduce you to the owner so you can discuss your requirements No amenities in walking distance of farm. Your hosts will be pleased to advise you on contact for your specific requirements. A complimentary breakfast at a time to suit our guests (up until 10 am), of 2 toast with jam or marmalade, with a choice of tea or coffee to help you start your day. Accommodation : Use of shared shower room only (no bath) Note: there was no option to note this in prior tick box section. No air conditioning (standing fan available on request). Only heating is open fire in winter lounge during coldest weather. This is a non smoking, no cooking accommodation. Please see rules below
