Stylish converted 19thC stone barn for couples wanting spacious accommodation (x2 bedroom). Private hot tub & Zen sauna lounge! Chic open plan kitchen/lounge with log burner. Located in an AONB with fantastic views into the Vale of Clywd and Snowdon. Nearby restaurants include North Wales' best Local Pub & Restaurant 2018... and a fun nearby shepherd's coffee hut for coffee & cake! Perfect for couples & mini-mooners wanting a little bit of luxury. LGBTQ friendly. Seeking a little luxury in the countryside? Stunning location & intimate facilities include your sole-use private Canadian hot tub and stylish Zen sauna lounge....partnered with little luxuries like super-soft robes, big feather pillows, and comfy throws...And lying back in your (exclusive use) Canadian hot tub and enjoying the massage jets is just bliss!...not to mention the Zen sauna lounge (includes sauna, rainforest shower & daybed to relax). The spacious kitchen is well equipped for our foodie guests who want to take advantage of the great farm shops in the area: gas hob, electric oven, combi microwave/grill/fan oven, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, coffee maker, kettle, clothes washer and all other usual utensils and accessories. And when you book The Barn you get EXCLUSIVE use of all the facilities (we NEVER book guests in the downstairs unit at the same time - so you always get all the peace and privacy you seek!). Generous outdoor entertaining area with sprawling seating to relax in the sunshine....or sit and toast marshmallows over the fire pit. Local pub just a short walk across the fields and nearby shepherd's hut serves delicious coffee & cakes. And great local restaurants to satisfy your appetite too, with North Wales' Best Country Pub & Restaurant 2018 just a few minutes drive away (and even closer is another guest favourite, with fabulous outdoor multi-level wine terraces and inspiring views into the Vale of Clwyd). Lots to do in the area - take a few tiny steps to the hot tub or stride directly from your door onto some of the most beautiful country walks in Wales. We provide an extensive information booklet which includes fun things to do including ZipWorld, Surf Snowdonia, kayaking across the highest canal aqueduct in the UK...and special sights only locals know about! Or do just nothing at all except enjoy the country freshness, laze in the tub & courtyard or watch a movie (eclectic collection of movies provided... or options on Firestick). Feels so calm & relaxing yet located only 30min from Chester, 60min from Manchester/Liverpool, 2.5 hours by train from London. (Please Note: when you book The Barn, the connected downstairs unit will NEVER be occupied at the same time - you will have exclusive private use of ALL the facilities!) Private entrance, parking on site for 1 vehicle (more available by prior arrangement) As Hosts we are very happy to chat about all the great foodie places, sights, adventures, walks & beaches nearby. Or just email us to receive our guest information booklet which includes the best local restaurants, fun things to do, and special sights only locals know about (and even the gorgeous beach dedicated to St Dwynwen, the Welsh patron saint of lovers, voted by Conde Nast as one of the best beaches in Britain!). Not far from the tiny 'city' of St Asaph is our little village with its tiny school and ancient church. The outlook into the Vale of Clwyd is stunning and from this location you will have gorgeous rural views, and the North Wales coastline and the snowy peak of Snowdon. No wonder this is officially designated 'An Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty'. Best of all we are just 2.4 miles from the A55 so access to all that Denbighshire and North Wales has to offer is easily accessible, whether it be the mountains of Snowdonia National Park, the wild coastline, the adrenaline pumping zip lines, the historical sites or the ancient walled City of Chester. Parking is provided on-site for one car. North Wales is served well by the UK train network. If traveling by rail there are several possible destination stations. If you let us know your arrival time we can arrange for a taxi to collect you from the station. Wood for the firepit (with marshmallows & toasting sticks!) is £10 per load. Smoking permitted, but only in the outside courtyard. If guests breach this rule and smoke within the accommodation (or near to doors/windows, thereby allowing smoke to pass into the accommodation) then the stay may be terminated immediately and a £100 deodorising fee will be charged; by proceeding with the booking the guest agrees to this condition. We are animal lovers but unfortunately cannot accept pets (please do not ask for an exception, as a refusal may offend) Parking available for one vehicle We ask that you consider other guests, no music or other noise that might disturb other guests. NB: As you might imagine, some IMPORTANT CHANGES have to occur, because COVID-19 remains prevalent in the UK. Firstly, because Cae Gwyn is our family home, we have to consider the increased exposure to our family. In this regard, we are requesting guests to bring their own bed linen & towels: • King sheets x1 • King duvet cover x1 • pillowcases x4 • towels suitable for hot tub/beach trips We will supply a (COVID appropriate) duvet inner and liner & comfy pillows x4. Secondly, we will be meeting new industry cleaning protocols to ensure you feel safe coming to a new environment. We will supply hand sanitiser, antibacterial spray and wipes for your use during your stay. Rubbish bins & bags are provided and guests are required to take rubbish with them as they check-out. Thirdly, there will be an optional no-contact check-in (further details to follow). Please note because of the extra requirements, earliest check in will be 4-6pm & a slightly earlier check-out time of 9.30am (check-out may be flexible depending on bookings). There may also be a small delay bringing the hot tub up to temperature . We trust, in the current circumstances, you understand these changes, and we would like to offer you a complimentary bottle of Prosecco-on-ice in recognition of this.
