Løðupakkhúsið - Historical Warehouse - Mid Floor

Enjoy a stay steeped in history in a renovated 100-year-old Faroese warehouse on the water’s edge in the local harbour. Fully renovated in 2019, Løðupakkhúsið features all modern amenities while preserving the traditional features of the house with original exposed beams, neutral tones and wooden flooring. The house is fully heated from a local renewable energy source - the sea water. The flat is reached via steps leading from the road – with a private parking space – to the private entrance of the flat. Once you enter the flat you go into a hallway which leads into a bathroom, a bedroom and the kitchen/living area. Bathroom – Shower, towel rail, vanity unit, wc and bidet sprayer. Bedroom – Double bed (150 x 200 cm) and wardrobe. Living room – Sofa bed (which converts into a double bed ), lounge chairs, dining table, chairs and original artworks on the wall. Kitchen (part of living room) – Refrigerator/freezer, dishwasher, hob and oven. Guest access - Access to all areas of the flat. Private parking outside the house. Løðupakkhúsið is located only 3 km from the air port and right on water’s edge in the marina, with a view of Sørvágur and the local harbour, where the traditional fishing boats bring in their daily coastal catch. During the summer you are also likely to see the local rowing teams in their traditional wooden viking rowing boats. From the front door of Løðupakkhúsið you only walk a few minutes to cross into the domain of the sheep and the most awe-inspiring hiking pats alongside bird cliffs on Faroe Islands or the biggest freshwater lakes with no fishing licence demanded , the charming village Bøur and Gásagalur, several shopping centers and restaurants, all within 1 to 10 km A few meters from your entrance you will find the ferry to Mykines (the buffin Island), boat touring to hot spots next to Tindhólmur, fishing trips, bus stop connected to national bus stop grid and a petrol station with coffee shop and fresh bakery outlet. . Although one could say Løðupakkhúsið is next to everything, I would recommend a small car to get around while on the Faroe Islands. Please note that it is an old house and although we have done our best to insulate between the two floors, you might be able to hear noise from the Top Floor flat.
