Breakfast The B&B accomodation is a private villa set in a lemon-groves region close to the sea (2 km), a short distance from the Lemon's Riviera, Catania, Taormina, Mount Etna. The setting is Guardia M. on the outskirts of Acireale.The part of the house used by guests (ground floor and a wing of first floor) has recently been modernised in rustic style using typical sicilian materials. Guests can use their own separate entrance, a parking space in the large courtyard, and 250 sqm of garden with its own furniture for moments of total relaxation. The B&B double and single bedroom at first floor have private ensuite bathroom, TV, air cond. (only the double bedroom), adjoining sitting room where breakfast is served. We provide bed linen and towels, final cleaning, touristic brochure, guided excursions, and a shuttle service from/to Catania airport and from/to the nearest railway stations. Very closer to the city is the Riviera of the Lemons with it’s typical Sicilian fishing villages S.Maria La Scala, S.Tecla, Pozzillo and Stazzo. Acireale is also famous for it’s Carnival, the best one in Sicily, which takes place in February. Taormina (distance 25 km): founded by the Greeks, Taormina had an incredible development during last century becoming one of the most important tourist resort in the world, well-known for the archaeological and naturalistic beauties. To visit: the ancient Greek-Roman Theatre, Corvaia Palace, the Cathedral, S.Domenico friary, Castelmola, Giardini Naxos, Isola Bella and the nearby seaside: Schisò, Recanati and Mazzarò. Catania and the Cyclops Riviera (distance 15 Km): town re-built in baroque style after the awful earthquake which destroyed it, almost totally, in 1693. To be visited: the ancient centre of the town with the Cathedral, the Town hall, the Elephant fountain, University square, The Ursino Castle, the Bellini Theatre and Via Crociferi, a wonderful baroque street in the middle of the town. Just 5 Km north from Catania is the Cyclops Riviera with the fishing villages of Acicastello and Acitrezza Guardia Mangano-S.Venerina railway station only 300mts away.
