The Tea and Coffee making facilities are available 24/7 with fresh milk, a fridge with room to store your own selection of drinks, access to glasses, ice buckets, bottle openers and other trinkets to make sure stay as comfortable as possible The Outdoor Terrace spans the entire property with access to circa 3 acres of land to the rear of the property via a set of steps, outdoor furniture, and picnic table there are plenty of places for you to take full advantage of the outdoor space and to take in the stunning beauty of the countryside. Assistance is offered to make guests stay as comfortable as possible. Help with luggage, a familiarisation tour and guidance on the best places to visit are all part of the service offered by the hosts. The picturesque and historic village of Staindrop in county durham is where the hosts have lived for more than 17 years. They love this special part of the world, particularly the peace and tranquility it provides. There are beautiful countryside walks on offer and the Fabulous Raby Castle to explore (Mar to Sept) all of which are within easy walking distance of the B&B. Millstone House is situated at the bottom end of Stangarth Lane in Staindrop. Access is via the lane to the side of Scarth Memorial Hall located in the centre of the village. Millstone House B&B is ideally situated for exploring places like Raby Castle, Barnard Castle and the Bowes Museum, the Durham Dales, North Yorkshire Moors and further afield. Local attractions within an hours drive include High Force Waterfall, the City of Durham, Newcastle, Beamish Museum, the spectacular Kynren (June-Sept) which attract visitors worldwide.
