With three bedrooms, a lounge area, kitchen and television snug that can also double up as an office space this apartment is a perfect base from which to explore the area of both Swiss and French sides of the border. All the rooms are a good size with lots of light. Sloping ceilings give the apartment lots of shape and charm. The apartment is tastefully furnished with new furniture and fresh bedding and towels, etc. The pretty terrace looking out over the town square is bright and cheerful, particularly on a Sunday when you can look down onto the bustling market, whilst not being disturbed. Go and pick up a platter of fresh seafood from the popular market stall just behind the apartment block and bring it back to enjoy on the terrace in the sunshine. Heaven! There is plenty of free parking immediately in front of the apartment and lots of no-restriction parking within five minutes walk. The whole of Divonne is within easy walking distance and there are plenty of pretty 'car free' lanes and paths to take to walk the length of the town. If you don't have a car there is a very reliable bus service five minutes walk away which takes you across the border into Switzerland. The B818 goes to Nyon train station and the B814 to Coppet train station which are both on the Swiss main line. The main line will take you into the centre of Geneva and airport or in the opposite direction to Lausanne, Montreux and from there up into Swiss ski resorts such as Verbier, Villars-sur-Ollon and Leysin. Staying French side, you can ski in the Monts Jura ski resort which is a 20 minute drive away or take the direct EUR 2 bus. The Jura is the low range of mountains you can see out of the master bedroom window. Pretty town with lots of shops, cafes and restaurants. Five minutes walk from Divonne lake and open air swimming pool. Ten minute drive to closest golf club and thermal baths. Horse race track, Golf Range, Pitch and Putt. Lots of country walks and Forest Land for the kids. Gentle Friday market and a bustling Sunday market. Eight minute drive to two different French/Swiss border points for easy access into Switzerland and from there a seven kilometre drive or pleasant cycle ride to the beautiful Lac Leman in Switzerland with all that that has to offer. Plenty of free parking using 'blue disc' (provided in apartment) either immediately outside apartment or unrestricted parking a few minutes walk away. Reliable bus service five minutes walk away with easy, regular access across the border to Nyon (B818) train station with direct trains to Lausanne, Montreux and beyond into Swiss ski resorts such as Verbier, Villars and Leysin. Alternatively the B814 to Coppet train station for direct train into Geneva and airport. In the winter months a 20 minute car ride will take you up to the Monts-Jura ski resort or you can take the EUR 2 bus a few minutes walk away from the apartment. The Jura mountains are the range you can see from the master bedroom window. I can provide a travel cot for a baby if required.
