Old stone cottage in a rural hamlet

The cottage has one double bedroom with twin beds pushed together , a lounge with sofa bed and kitchenette plus shower room. It is attached to main house where the owners live, but with its own entrance. It has a wooden deck exclusively for guests, with a view over the countryside. Beamed wooden ceilings, rustic tiled floors and antique furniture, The kitchenette is equipped with a portable oven, microwave, double hot plate, fridge, kettle and toaster and other kitchen basics such as cutlery, tableware and cooking utensils. There is a TV and WiFi and a selection of books. Guests have full access to the garden, the plunge pool (5mtx3mt), the barbecue with bread oven and shaded seating area. The host will be happy at all times to assist the guests with any request or information required but will afford them complete privacy. A quiet spot only 45 minutes from Lisbon, 25 minutes from Caldas da Rainha and from the picturesque medieval village of Óbidos and 30 minutes from the nearest beach. The well known Praia del Rei golf course is 45 minutes away. Nazaré, Alcobaça, Batalha, Constancia, Fátima and Tomar are all within easy reach. It is a perfect place to use as a base to explore many interesting historical and beautiful areas of Portugal and then return at the end of the day to the peace and tranquility of the cottage and garden. There are excellent and very reasonably priced restaurants just a five minute drive away. We would recommend guests to hire a car. There is street parking close to the house. Also very little traffic. Towels, bed linen and basic toiletries are provided plus a hair dryer and a fan. A welcome basket includes olive oil, salt, vinegar, etc The owners have two friendly dogs and a cat.
