Our home is in Murphysboro, IL just 7 miles West of SIU campus in Carbondale. Just 2 blocks from world famous 17th Street BBQ! Walking distance to restaurants, grocery mart, churches. About 7 blocks west of town center. Large rooms, full kitchen well stocked, laundry and big front porch! Cozy with all the comforts of home! This is a comfortable cozy home! Large bedrooms both have comfortable queen beds. Large closets with extra sets of sheets, blankets and pillows. There is an additional twin bed in the laundry room. Master bath with tub/shower and plenty of towels. Full kitchen with everything you need to cook. Complimentary coffee, tea, sugar and basic spices. Washer/dryer for your convenience. The garage is not accessible. There is room for one car to fit in the driveway which is accessible from the alley just south of the house. There is also a gravel space next to the driveway and there is plenty of space to park on the street in front of our home. We have a secure keypad deadbolt access on the front door. If you arrive after dark step onto the porch and walk toward the porch light to activate the sensor. You will receive a code to open the door when you confirm your reservation with us. Simply enter the code and turn the thumb plate to your left (counterclockwise). Once inside you can lock manually. Check-in and check-out times may be negotiable depending on the dates, please ask. We don't live in the area but are frequently in town and we are always just a phone call or text away to answer a question and make suggestions. Walking distance to nationally known 17th Street Barbecue. Just blocks to downtown Murphysboro where you'll find more restaurants, coffee shop, and lots of antiques and resale shops. Home of the annual Apple Festival and championship barbecue cook off along with loads of other festivals. Close to all the great wineries off Hwy 127, Big Muddy Brewery, Scratch Brewery and much more. Only a 10 minute drive to SIU. Space for 1 car in driveway on the south side off house. Gravel area next to driveway with space for another vehicle/boat. Parking on the street in front of house as well. Check-in and check-out times may be negotiable depending on the dates, please ask. All reservations require 2-night minimum. We have plenty of towels and extra bedding for longer stays. Guest soap and shampoo available if needed. Complimentary coffee, creamers and sugar available or feel free to bring your favorite. Large backyard, with grill, you supply the charcoal. Garage is not accessible. Extended stay guests (7 days or more) - basic amenities are supplies but extended stay guests may need to purchase additional toiletries and/or cleaning supplies depending on how long you stay. Also, need to put outdoor garbage can out to the curb in front of the house on Sunday evenings for pick-up and then return can next to garage after pick-up. Specific instructions will be provided to extended stay guests.
