Traditional Pembrokeshire cottage in St Ishmaels

Close to Skomer Island and the beautiful beaches of south Pembrokeshire, Penlan is in the lovely village of St Ishmaels. With views down into the village, in walking distance from the the coastal path, Monk Haven beach and church. Escape from busy life with a quiet break at Penlan, away from the noise and stress of home and work. We deliberately have no wifi or television, but everything you need for a relaxing stay. Light a fire in the log burner, put your feet up and relax. Downstairs we have an open plan kitchen/ diner, separate lounge, hallway and family bathroom. Also access to front and back gardens. Upstairs are two large double bedrooms, with wardrobes and chest of drawers and a small bunk bed third bedroom. We have a travel cot, highchair and lightweight buggy for guests to use, it’s a very family friendly home We use Penlan for our holidays so we do leave some of our personal items at the house- walking boots, coats, buckets and spades. But please make yourself at home in our home Guests can part directly outside the front of the house, there is also a second car parking space adjacent to the house Penlan is our holiday home so we won't interfere with your stay or pop in unannounced! However, we'll be available on the phone with any concerns you have and have neighbours in the village who can help in an emergency! St Ishmaels is a quiet village, but with plenty going on. Sadly the local pub is currently up for sale (we hope it will re-open at some point) but there is a busy social club within walking distance which has a vibrant football and cricket team and lots of village events. The Pembrokeshire coastal path is also within walking distance of the house. The popular villages of Dale and Little haven are very close by, with incredible beaches, surfing, and places to eat and drink out St Ishmaels is approx 20-25 mins from the busy town of Haverfordwest which caters for all your shopping and other needs! There is a local bus service called the Puffin Shuttle, which runs between Haverfordwest and St Davids.
