Henllys Lodge is good for couples, families, groups of friends, walkers, cyclists, birdwatchers and everyone who enjoys beautiful countryside, peaceful surroundings, gardens, castles, woodlands, nature reserves and sites of historic interest. It's detached and not overlooked, with garden and views. Close to a town with all amenities, but near to stunning Carmarthenshire countryside. A eco-friendly and relaxing place to stay. The property is a house for sole use. It has three double bedrooms and one bunk-bed bedroom. Two of the double bedrooms have their own en-suite wet rooms, and there is a separate bathroom for the two remaining bedrooms and for those who prefer baths. The open-plan downstairs area comprises a lobby, large kitchen with all modern amenities including energy-efficient appliances: dishwasher, washing machine and condenser drier, range cooker, microwave and all the cooking equipment and implements you will need, a WC, and living room with a television area with freeview channels and DVD player with large selection of DVDs, table football and a double-sided wood-burning stove in the middle of the room, logs provided. There is a garden with lawn and views to the hills beyond, slate patio with garden furniture and flower beds with native plants flowering at different times of the year, and with large pond teeming with wildlife, including frogs, newts, fish, water lilies etc. Lockable shed for cycle storage. You will have sole access to the house and garden. There is a car parking area for up to three cars, accessed via a lane off the road. There is no access beyond the house. Weekly bookings are from Saturday to Saturday. Short breaks can start on any day. Our representative is available to provide a meet and greet service. He is also available on the phone for advice or assistance as required. The nearest town, Llandovery, is 2 miles away where there are shops, restaurants, cafes, ATM, Post Office, supermarkets etc. We are on the Western edge of the Brecon Beacons National Park, an area of outstanding natural beauty and a Dark Sky Reserve. We are also in Carmarthenshire, known as "the Garden of Wales". The coast is 45 minutes' drive away. There are lots of cycle routes including mountain bike routes nearby. Llandovery has a railway station on the Heart of Wales line. There are bus links to Carmarthen and Brecon. An ideal way to get around is by bike or car. There is a pond in the garden, so caution should be exercised with small children. The garden is not completely enclosed - where cars are parked. There is a small amount of noise from passing cars but this is a country lane only.
