Hudson Valley lakefront cottage 50 miles from NYC

Modern lake cottage (3 bathrooms, 3 bedrooms) with direct lake access and surrounded by nature (beautiful Fall foliage). In Summer, swim in the lake or explore it with our canoe/kayaks. Many hiking trails less than one mile away. In the Winter, drive 25 minutes to ski at Thunder Ridge or ice skate right on the lake outside the house. Less than 60 minute drive from Manhattan. Ridgefield and Katonah (MTA lines) are a 10 and 15 minute car drive. Less than 4 miles away from Le Chateau wedding venue. There is a huge garden/lawn in front of our house, leading to the lake where kids can play and where you can relax on lounge chairs (the sunset is amazing from the garden and the boat dock). The house is surrounded by nature (huge trees all around the house). There's central heat and AC, Wi-Fi, AppleTV, Stereo sound system with indoor speakers, Washer/Dryer, Dishwasher, boat dock. Only steps from front door to lake! Note that the pontoon boat is not for rent because of risk of damages and insurance issues. Also, the hot tub is not available as some guests damaged it. The whole house and entire property (two gardens, front and back) are available to guests (only two items not available to guests are the pontoon boat and the hot tub). Direct access to lake Waccabuc. You can park several cars on our property. I am available anytime by phone. The area is in the middle of nature and is on the gorgeous lake Waccabuc, with endless activities all year round. In the Summer, spend your days swimming in the lake, kayaking or lounging on the private deck and dock. The house is a mile from great hiking/nature trails (Mountain Lakes State Park) with views of the nearby lakes and mountains and outstanding opportunities to take in Fall foliage. In the winter, drive 30 minutes to ski at Thunder Ridge or ice skate right on the lake outside the house. The pretty town of Ridgefield, Connecticut (10 minutes’ drive) has a great choice of restaurants, cafes, theaters, a contemporary art museum and a winter ice rink, while the town of Katonah (also a 10 minutes' drive) offers more restaurants and cafes and is home to the classical music Caramoor Festival in the summer. Our house is also conveniently situation within 4 miles of Le Chateau wedding venue, which makes our place a great accommodation for families who attend weddings at Le Chateau. There are several amazing Farmers' markets within a 10 minutes drive. Further afield, kids of all ages will love a visit to Legoland Discovery Center (45 minutes’ drive). The lake is one of the most beautiful lakes in New York State. It has been voted one of the 10 best to swim in the world. See New York Times article: (Website hidden by Airbnb) If you have a car, our house is less than an hour away from Manhattan. It is just over an hour’s drive to LaGuardia or JFK airports. If you'd like to take public transportation, you can take Metro North (from Grand Central) to Katonah and then take a cab to our place (15 mins drive from Katonah). You can park at the house (we have space for several cars). we allow hypoallergenic dogs only and there is an extra fee of $150 for pets.
