Fern Bank is a light, airy seaside cottage situated just above the village square in Portscatho, Cornwall, a stones' throw from the harbour and Tathams beach. Porthcurnick beach with the wonderful 'Hidden Hut' restaurant is 5-10 minutes’ walk away. The cottage is well equipped and has been refurbished to a high standard. Portscatho is a lovely location on the Roseland Peninsula, South Cornwall and makes a great base for family holidays, romantic getaways, watersports and scenic coastal walking. Lovely comfortable cottage in a great location in the centre of Portscatho. Tastefully furnished with a private, sunny courtyard.Fully equipped kitchen with a NEFF hob & oven, fridge freezer, washing machine and dishwasher. Modern bathroom. Two bedrooms. Free Wifi & flatscreen TV. Woodburner in in the lounge. The house is unoccupied and guests have sole access. Portscatho is a lovely coastal village on the Roseland Peninsula with wonderful walks, good pubs, a general store, quality butcher’s shop, art galleries and a harbour-side coffee shop selling amazing pastries and barista coffees. The Hidden Hut is a stroll away and serves delicious alfresco food overlooking Porthcurnick Beach. The Roseland Peninsula itself abounds with fabulous gardens, National Trust properties, water sports, ferries and plenty of good restaurants to sample. A car is recommended for getting around. There is an infrequent bus service passing through the village to picturesque St Mawes in one direction and the cathedral town of Truro in the other direction. Portscatho is a small fishing village and the property is just above the square with no dedicated parking at the cottage itself. There are free parking options along the lugger and on Gerrans Hill in close proximity to the cottage.
