Brand new conversion of an old brick barn, Ty Mochyn is a lovingly created self catering holiday accommodation. Luxury, style and comfort in a beautiful, peaceful, rural setting with friendly hosts to welcome you and take care of any needs and interests you have. Ty Mochyn (Pig House) was completed in 2017, a conversion from an attached old brick pigsty and barn that made up part of the 17th century farmstead to create a self contained self catering holiday cottage, comprising open plan kitchen diner, living room downstairs and bedroom and bathroom upstairs. This accommodation is suitable for one or two adults. One small dog will be considered but subject to negotiation but an additional charge will apply of £20 for the week to be paid on arrival. Ty Mochyn is attached to the owners 17th century cottage, the farmstead sits on a half acre plot with generous gardens and ample parking, with a gated entrance and a security system in place. ( this is just a very low key, subtle, setup). There is a public footpath leading straight from the property, perfect for taking in the evening air, exercising your dog or just taking in the magnificent views . The cottage is set in the stunning mid Wales countryside in a secluded location with views over the rolling Welsh hills. With gorgeous contemporary retro furnishings Ty Mochyn has been designed with your comfort and ease of use in mind. This two storey/ one bedroom/one bathroom/ open plan living room and kitchen diner has all the mod cons including wi fi and Sky TV, with sky movies and Netflix and more, also amazon Alexa with prime for music and such, whilst retaining its original charm and character. There is parking at the property, motorbike storage under cover and also for bicycles, and a private garden which includes seating with fire pit and BBQ. Guests have sole access to the self contained accommodation, shared use of the yard with parking and sole use of a specially designed garden space with outdoor seating, fire pit and BBQ provided. You are welcome to pick herbs from the herb garden and seasonal fruit and veg grown at Cefn Vastre is available to guests Also available for guests is the fully equipped art studio, to be arranged by negotiation. We will give you a warm welcome, and as we live in the farmhouse we are around to help you with anything. We do love meeting people, but if you want to be private we don't mind. We live a mile and a half outside Newtown with all its amenities, and one mile from the village of Kerry. Access to our place is down a private track, so we are not overlooked by anyone. The mid Wales countryside has much to offer and benefits from miles of scenically gorgeous quiet lanes showing off rolling hills, mountains, lakes and forests as well as castles, pretty villages, steam railways and more. Newtown station is a mile or so away, and there is a bus station in town. We would not recommend walking here from the station; we can offer lifts. A number of taxi firms operate in the area. We have a bed and breakfast in the farmhouse that accommodates a couple so you may be sharing the grounds with other guests. Also we have a very friendly dog and two cats, they will do their best to come and see you but we request you don't allow them in Ty Mochyn. ,
