Vouvant The only fortified village of the Vendee is 10 minutes away. Bazoges en Pareds Visit the Donjon and its medieval gardens and museum. Mouilleron en Pareds Birthplace of two of Frances famous sons, George Clemenceau, who signed the treaty at the end of the 1st world war and Marshal Jean de Lattre de Tassigny who signed the treaty at the end of 2nd world war. There is a museum, a bank, Post Office, small supermarket, boulangerie, pharmacie and 2 bars/restaurants is 6 minutes away. Cafe des Sport St Maurice Le Girard This is our closest bar/tabac they serve a good set lunch for approx 12 euros they also sell bread and other essentials. The food is only served on a lunchtime and booking is required. Puy Du Fou A historical theme park in les Epesses in the heart of the Vendee it has more than 2 million visitors a year making it the second most popular theme park in France after Disneyland Paris. Well worth a visit and only 35 minutes away. Mervent Massive forest and a zoo approx 13 minutes. There is also a big lake for fishing and swimming with bars,restaurants and the theme park Piere Brune. La Rochelle and the beaches are approx 60 minutes away. O'GLISS Water Park Moutiers Les Mauxfaits (85) between La Roche sur Yon and Les Sables D'olonne approx 50 minutes.
