Artists Retreat (near Flinders Uni) FEMALE ONLY

My quiet eclectic mid-century modern house is close to public transport. 4 minute drive from Flinders University & Medical Centre, 3minute drive to Westfield Marion Shopping Centre and Aquatic Centre, close to both Seacliff & Brighton Beach. 2 minute walk from local supermarket (open till 9.30pm every night) & takeaway shop. Off street parking for two cars. Suit students, solo adventurers, and business travellers. The cozy room has Wifi, a double bed, desk, LED Tv, clothes rack/shelf & a mirror. Your room - double bed, 2 x glass desk workspaces, LED TV, shelving, clothes rack & hangers, heater, pedestal fan, bin, towels, linen & superfast WiFi. PLEASE NOTE: The house is not fitted with central heating or cooling. The living areas and bedrooms generally stay comfortable year around, however during a really hot Adelaide summer [December - March] heatwaves where temperatures stay above 37 degrees for a few days straight the house can heat up. Windows can be opened and pedestal fans are provided for air circulation. The house can also get cold in winter (July & August). The bedrooms are cozy with heaters & electric blankets, however the rest of the common areas are not heated. Feel free to enjoy all of the shared areas of the home, including the bathroom, laundry, main lounge/living area & kitchen. You'll have access to a cleared shelf space within the fridge for groceries and a space in the main pantry cupboard for additional kitchen storage. I'm happy to provide recommendations on local restaurants and attractions, as well as information on how to get around during your stay. PUBLIC TRANSPORT: (timetables & Maps can be found on the adelaidemetro website) BUSES Departing from Miller St or Seacombe Rd stops…(2 min walk from house) For students commuting to flinders University the 200B can be caught from either of the stops mentioned above to the Flinders Medical Centre (approx. 5 minute trip) from there the FREE university 'Campus Loop' shuttle bus will pick you up and take you to all the main schools/departments within the university. To City 200 or 200B To City via Westfield Marion 262 From Westfield Marion Interchange to city M44 TRAINS SEAFORD LINE- To City (travel time approx 20mins) Trains can be caught at either the Seacliff Railway Station or the Oaklands Railway Station. Mon – Friday departing approx. every 12mins (less frequently from the Seacliff Station). Saturday & Sunday approx. every 30mins. Free parking is available at the stations. WALKING It is possible to walk or cycle to Flinders University from my place. I would allow around 15-20 minutes to walk to the edge of the campus, and then allow another 10-20 minutes to walk into the heart of the campus depending on where you need to go. Please be aware that Flinders University is a very large sprawling campus built into the side of a hill, so walking paths can be quite steep with lots of stairs. Alternatively the FREE university 'Campus Loop' shuttle bus stops at various locations around the perimeter of the campus and can take you where you need to go within the university. Please be aware that 3 very well behaved ginger cats also live at the property. They are outside during the day time, but come inside in the evening but are restricted to the main living space, passageway and laundry areas.
