Kawau lodge is a private retreat for a large group wanting to enjoy an island sanctuary just a 20-minute water taxi ride from the mainland an hour north of Auckland CBD. With an all-tide deep-water pier your ferry, water taxi or private boat will dock at our pier where you will immediately relax. Kawau Island has many attractions including the Mansion House, old copper mine, boat club, let alone the water sports on your doorstep. This listing is for the entire lodge for up to 16 persons. Kawau Lodge consists of such room categories: View Chalet with Shared Bathroom; Private Harbour View room with ensuite; Family Suite ( 3 Bedrooms and Living room with 2 sofas and kitchen). Guest can book the whole Lodge and also by rooms. Total number of bedrooms -- 8. Breakfast, cleaning and linen service are included in the price. Kawau Lodge has its own mooring line. Guests can reach it approximately 30 minutes boat trip from Sandspit Wharf, being a small coastal settlement approximately 5 kilometers east of the town of Warkworth being 40 minutes from Auckland via the Northern Motorway System. Access to island is available via the Kawau water taxi service. Kawau is a small island where you can relax amongst nature in your own privacy. You can boat to our own jetty and you don't need to interact with neighbors unless you take the public ferry to our jetty. The locals are friendly and you'll love the laid back atmosphere of island life, yet so close to Auckland city. Private mooring line. Private boat is available by request in advance. You can order grocery delivery from Newworld or Countdown in Warkworth and have them deliver to Kawau Island Ferry terminal. The cost for a grocery delivery is $8 - order your groceries in a cardboard box rather than paper bag (same cost). Bring your own, or ask Marcus to run you in our boat to the yacht club or to beach house or ask about our on-site catering options.
