Merrydown - spacious converted loft apartment

Steve, Annabelle and Jackie welcome you to our newly converted loft conversion in a highly convenient location. Enjoy a friendly welcome within Blackdown Hills and AONB, close to the Jurassic Coast. It’s a great place for either a short stopover or longer stay. Our apartment within our home, allows enough space to welcome families, or small groups, whilst also being suitable for those who are looking for peace. We are happy to help if you have any needs, just knock our door or call our mobile. Enter the shared entrance hall to the private loft conversion through the property's back door, a key safe key will be available. Follow the stairs up and on the right hand side, find our newly converted spacious lounge dining room, with bathroom on the right, kitchen area (no oven or hob) and double bedroom on the far left. A double sofa bed in the lounge will easily convert to a double bed. If you are worried about Covid - 19. We are happy to talk with you about ensuring you feel confident to use the apartment in these tricky times. Our hygiene expectations are always high and we are happy for you to come and stay without meeting us. The whole property has space so you can feel confident to move around, keeping distance from the 3 hosts. Steve, Jackie or Annabelle will be available, either at home or working locally. Merrydown , in the Blackdown Hills AONB is great for couples, friends and families. Its location is close to the Devon and Dorset coast, rural towns and villages with great pubs at their heart. It is easily accessible from the A35 and A303. The thriving coastal town of Lyme Regis is just 15 minutes away with Beer beach and the cities of Exeter and Taunton just a 30 minute drive away. The local village offers rolling countryside and riverside walks. You will have beautiful rural views of Danes Hill and occasional visits from deer, badgers, pheasants and many rabbits will add to your stay. Axminster train station is just over a 5 minute drive away. This gives easy access to Exeter, Salisbury and London. The Taunton Cross bus stop is just a short walk away and the number 4 route gives hourly good access to Axminster, Honiton, Ottery St.Mary and Exeter . Our welcome pack will share walking routes, taxi details and information about places to visit. The location, both geographical and on a spacious site will enable you to feel safe and secure whilst also away from the current challenges of Covid -19. We have adjusted our cancellation policy to help you and ask that if you have symptoms of Covid -19 you, or are coming from an area where travel is restricted, you cancel your booking.
