Tropical Bungalow Getaway in Quiet Neighborhood
Located on a quiet tree lined street, the bungalow's garden level design was influenced by the rumpus rooms of the 1950's. A private side entry, a few steps down from the rear courtyard, leads into your tropical get away. Heywood Wakefield furniture and thatch palm leaf wall covering enhance the Tiki vibe of the sitting room. An exercise area, private bedroom and bath are all accessed from this main space. While the suite is at garden level, it is always bright and airy. The main sitting room doubles as the Owner's media room when the suite is not occupied. DVD's or TV can be projected on a pull down screen (please keep the volume down). An exercise room has a tread mill, bow flex, weight bench with some light dumbbells. (Flat screen TV). The bedroom has a queen platform bed from CB2 and a desk area (if you find the need to do any work). While there is no cable in the house, the roof top attena still picks up about 40 channels. Netflix and Amazon built into DVD player. Please note there is no kitchen. There is a small refrigerator, microwave and Tassimo coffee maker (coffee provided). Access to work room and laundry is through a shared area, but I will try not to use when the suite is occupied. Feel free to hang out in the backyard. There are some lounges, table, and grill. I just ask that there is no smoking anywhere on the property (including outside). Entry is keyless with punch code. Hopefully everything else is self explanatory. While I live upstairs, I hope that privacy is a two way street. Feel free to say hi if you see me in the yard. I am accessible by phone/text if anything comes up. Portage Park/Six Corners is a pedestrian orientated neighborhood. You will be in walking distant to bars/restaurants (Community, Fannies, TaTa's Taco, June Bug, Eggsperience, Hops & Barley, Old Irving Brewery, Eric Cider/Brewery, Gracie O'Malley's, Foundation Grill), entertainment (Filament Theater, Portage Theater, Copernicus Center) shopping (Jewel Grocery, Binny's Liquors, Marshall's, Ross) and chains (Dunkin Donuts, , McDonald's, Burger King, Culvers, Starbucks). Good central location for visits east to Wrigley Field, north to Northwestern Football weekends, West to Oak Park/ Frank Lloyd Wright tours, South to Loop/Downtown. .9 mile to Blue Line (service to/from O'hare, downtown) .7 mile to Metra Mayfair Stop, Grayland Line (service to downtown and suburbs) Irving Park Bus (5.5 miles to Wrigley Field, 6 miles to Lake Michigan Plenty of street parking Easy access to Kennedy and Edens. You are a guest in my home and I would hope you would treat it the same way you would if someone was staying at your home. This is not a hotel, so please don't treat it like it is.
