Riverside 1928 Railway Hut, Shropshire Getaways
This 1928 GWR hut is situated in an elevated position in the Severn Valley between the Historic Severn Valley Railway and the river Severn with steam locomotives puffing along the track at the back of the hut. The Severn Valley Station and Engine House visitor centre are a 5 minute walk away, where you can ride from Kidderminster to Bridgnorth on a vintage steam train. Sit by the fire pit at night and watch the stars come out, and listen to the owls tooting. This truly is a unique experience. The hut has a double bed, and 2 directors chairs. There is also tea and coffee making facilities, with a mini fridge with a small bottle of milk provided and biscuits to welcome guests. Outdoors there is a bench with a luggage trolley as a table, and a fire pit for barbecues. Bags of firewood are located in the box provided, and are available to purchase @£5 per bag, (cash only). Outdoor seating area with fire pit, and parking for 1 car. We live on site, so if you need anything, come across to Millstone Cottage, and we will be happy to help. We are a 5 minute walk from The Ship Inn and the Severn Valley Railway As we are in a rural location, it is recommended you have a car. You can travel by steam train to the picturesque market towns of Bridgnorth and Bewdley. The toilet/ shower block is approximately 100 metres away and is shared with guests from the pod, and small touring site. You may want to bring a torch.
