A 150 year old traditional Parsi 'courtyard' home in the heart of Bhuj. One of 4 ensuite guest rooms set with restored furniture and beautiful Kutchi fabrics. Opens on to the inner courtyard; a peaceful retreat from the town's bustling environment. The smallest of our 4 rooms, perfect for single travellers, but just as comfortable for couples who like to be cosy. Accessed by one of two doors from the inner courtyard. The room is set with a double bed, dresser, trunk and chair, and an en-suite bathroom. A wooden bench just outside the room catches the first sunrays of the day and is a lovely place to sit with morning tea. At the centre of the courtyard is an open pantry where breakfast and served, and you can prepare your own drinks/snacks anytime. Guests enter the house via the original hitchka or swing room which is a great place to sit quietly with the newspaper. There is a common lounge with books and local maps/info, access to a computer and wi-fi. Family members are not always staying, but available on the phone for any questions. The house is fully staffed to take care of all your needs. The house is located in the heart of Bhuj city, a short walk to many of the town's historical sites and shopping areas. Auto-rickshaws are available just outside the house, and can be used to quickly access parts of the town, or to travel to nearby craft villages. We can help you organise a taxi to further-off destinations. The house has four guest rooms. There are likely to be other guests staying, sharing social spaces.
