The Apartment Austria (65 m2) is located on the ground floor of our house and was completely renovated in 2015. The first place you reach in the Wildschönau is Niederau, immediately recognizable by the pointed church steeple of its parish church and the nearby Hausberg, the Markbachjoch, on which a gondola lift leads in both summer and winter. Another typical feature of the Wildschönauer place Niederau is that the sky is littered with the countless, colorful umbrellas of the paragliders and hang gliders, as here is Tyrol's most famous paragliding school. The Markbachjoch is in summer a popular starting point for beautiful hikes from easy to difficult. The view is terrific. Popular hiking destinations are the Kasalm / Holzalm, the Norderbergalm, the Rosskopf or a longer tour for the Feldalphorn and the Schweigberghorn to the Schönangeralm at the end of the valley. The Wildschönau is located in the middle between Munich and Innsbruck! It is best to take the motorway exit Wörgl Ost and then follow the road to Wörgl to the church! 100 meters after the church there is a crossing left towards Wildschönau! Follow the L3 Wildschönauer Landesstrasse until the first village Niederau. Turn left at the crossroads in Niederau (pharmacy, bank), pass the church and drive straight for about 1 km. Directly at the tow lift "Tennladen" on the right side of the street is our house.
