"The Nelson cottage" and boat house

A step back in time, our little treasure is perfect for a romantic weekend getaway or fill your days in canoeing, fishing or just reading a book by the open wood fire ,nelson is a beautiful place situated on the Glenelg river perfect for relaxation. This a rustic cottage with original features it is a step back in time and is not 5 star accomodation , there is no dishwasher and only one bathroom but is certainly cosy and comfortable with our own landing you can access just 80 meters from the cottage ,if you are looking for a place to relax by the beautiful Glenelg river this is the place for you. The cottage has a open fireplace with wood provided and has a slight smoke smell as any place with an open fire does ,if you are sensitive to this it may not be a suitable choice for your Nelson stay. We have Telstra phone service but do not provide wifi. We enjoy the break from technology and getting back to the simple things in life. We allow children to stay but please look at our facilities before booking to consider if it is suited to your family's needs .We do not have a washer or dryer so remember to pack lots of clothing if you book for an extended stay . We hope you love our little cottage as much as we do ! Please note, linen is not provided for the sofa bed. Also PHONE RECEPTION seems to be an issue for some. I have Telstra and get full service, however some guests that have vodophone and Optus have had issues, so please be aware of this if it’s important to you.
