This modern, fully self-contained 2 bedroom guesthouse provides the perfect Canberra getaway, located just 20 minutes from Canberra’s CBD and 2 hours from the NSW snowfields or NSW South Coast. The guesthouse sits in a quiet location, away from the main house where the owners reside. Free parking for 1 vehicle in a secure, large shared garage with additional free street parking available. Your guesthouse is north facing to take advantage of direct sunlight especially during the winter months. It accommodates up to 4 people and has been tastefully decorated with comfortable, modern furnishings throughout. It has reverse cycle air conditioning and access to WiFi, Netflix and Stan. There is a shared garden space between the two residences as well as a private deck and outdoor space to enjoy. Your kitchen is fully equipped and includes under-bench oven, coffee machine, dishwasher, microwave and dining seating for 4 at the stone bench. Your spacious main bedroom has a comfortable queen sized bed and the second bedroom has a king single and single bed. A cot and high chair are also available on request. Your bathroom is very spacious with a full sized bath and walk-in shower with hair dryer and toiletries included. There is also a neat and cosy office space, a front-loading washing machine, iron, ironing board, and private clothesline. A shared dryer is also available for your use. The guesthouse is fully self-contained and guests have private access to all rooms within the guesthouse as well as the private garden space at the rear which includes an outdoor seating area, balance beam and hopscotch for the kids. We consider our guests privacy very important, however we are available in the main residence most of the time should you need anything. We have lived in the main residence for over 35 years and are now retired. We know the local area well and can advise on local services, shopping, entertainment and sightseeing etc. You are just a couple of minutes walk to the Chisholm Village shopping centre where you will find Coles, ALDI, a service station, ATM, pharmacy, post office, medical centre, dentist, hairdresser and Anytime Fitness gym. The centre also includes the Vikings Sports Club and a number of quality restaurants, coffee shops and eateries. There are several parks and playgrounds within easy walking distance, including the Chisholm Playing Fields directly across the road and Lake Tuggeranong 10 minutes drive away. It is only a 20 minute drive to several of Canberra’s nature reserves, including Tidbinbilla and the picturesque Orroral Valley and a two hour drive to either the beautiful NSW Eurobodalla South Coast or the NSW ski fields. Public bus transport is available straight across the road to take you to Canberra's main centres and shopping malls. You are located only 15 minutes to the airport and 20 minutes to Canberra CBD. There are security cameras operating 24/7 at the front and rear of the main residence. The guesthouse beds are not made up with a top sheet, however there is a top sheet provided for each bed should you wish to use it. The guesthouse is located just off the Monaro Highway, 15 minutes from the Canberra Airport and 20 minutes from the Canberra CBD.
