The Garden Room is truly Glamping in comfort. Set in your own private garden space with outdoor seating and eating areas, this little piece of Devon is set on the edge of the pretty South Hams. A perfect base for exploring Devon’s amazing coastline, and beaches. Bring a canoe or kayak or venture a few miles further and take in the amazing Dartmoor national park, with some amazing scenery for walking, cycling or just driving and sightseeing at your own pace. Secure parking, Private, key safe. Pretty Garden room, has its own parking, and private entrance. Owner lives on site, but in a separate cottage, discreetly tucked away. The local area has two pubs, and a tearoom, with four varieties of takeaway, along with local shops all within a two minute walk. There isn’t any need to cook, but with a fridge, toaster, & kettle there are many choices available for breakfast, then maybe pack up a picnic lunch, and head off for a busy day. Returning to sample one of the local pubs on offer, or venture further afield into Plymouth to the historic Barbican or Royal William Yard, where you will be spoilt for choice by the many restaurants. Wether you are in need of a short break, on business, or simply visiting family nearby, maybe for a family celebration, this little piece of Devon offers a spacious secure and private garden with a compact but comfortable garden room, en-suite bedroom, and small basic kitchen area, with dining tables inside and out according to weather. Independence and Privacy assured. Available if needed by mobile phone. Coffee shops, country pubs, local shops all a minute away on foot. Beaches are a short drive or bus ride away. Regular buses run from a nearby stop, into Plymouth city center or to the South Hams many pretty villages, Dartmouth, Kingsbridge, Totnes, and many more. Plymouth Hoe and Barbican can be accessed by a local water taxi, travel in style and walk along the Barbican to the Hoe, where a panoramic view of Plymouth sound and breakwater will delight you. Then a short walk into the city to shop, dine, or maybe catch a show or theatre production at our fabulous Theatre Royal, from ballet to opera , musicals and much more, always busy and worth a visit even if only to sit up high and dine or simply relax with a coffee or drink. There are many beautiful walks along the south west coast path, nearby, along with the national cycle trail literally across the road! There is a local bus stop to the city, countryside villages, or beaches in the summer. A water taxi is a wonderful way to travel to the historic city of Plymouth, also nearby. Good train services to Cornwall, a trip over the picturesque Brunel bridge into Cornwall is a treat, or 20 minutes drive to the South Devon steam train will take you into the famously interesting and quirky town of Totnes. Friday and Saturday are both busy market days, well worth a visit.
