Cottage Bedroom with ensuite in the country yet only 25 mins drive from airport & 40 mins drive to Christchurch CBD. Good stopover for West Coast & Central Otaga. Numerous cafes, restaurants & vineyards in the adjacent villages of Darfield & West Melton (10 mins drive). Porters Ski area & Mt Hutt can be reached in 45 & 75 mins respectively. A few mins walk from South Island Field Days site Ideal for couples, solos or business travelers. Stand alone cottage on our rural property, with views to our paddock homing Roxie and Sidney our pet sheep, as well as Gem & Wednesday (miniature horse). Bath robes are provided and you are very welcome to use our laundry facilities on request. A porter cot can be provided. Dinners and cooked breakfasts can be provided at an additional cost by arrangement. Your accommodation is on our property. You are welcome to walk around our pretty cottage garden and see the sheep etc. You have your own table and chairs outside to enjoy a glass of wine in the evening! There is also your own private garden around the back of the cottage and you are welcome to use our bbq for cooking. Rose Cottage is on our property so we will be on hand to offer any help. Kirwee is a lovely, friendly community with a great local domain with sports fields and service station which includes a post service. The famous South Island field days is held a few mins walk away from our place every two years and the annual Courteney A and P show is at the top of the road (15 mins walk) A car is probably a must to get about as there are no regular bus services into town. You are able to pick up the transalpine scenic passenger train to Greymouth from Darfield which is a 10 mins drive away. 10 minutes in the other direction is west Melton which has restaurants and takeaways. Rolleston is also only a 20 mins drive away boasting large supermarkets, plenty of restaurants, aquatic centre and lovely park. There is no kitchen in the cottage but there is a bbq available for use
