THE PYRAMIDS are 20 Km away.Most expats live in the area and driver is available for tourism trips & Alexandria.You are surrounded by embassies, groceries, open air lounges. The most vibrant place in Cairo. “ your home” on the first floor, spacious in a quiet neighbourhood with wooden floor , tiles, open kitchen, large mosaic bathroom moving sunshine throughout the day with high ceilings, that brings the Sinai and Bedouin feel to Cairo. It’s also next to the infamous TAHRIR square and Egyptian Museum a 20 min walk .Most expats and ambassadors live in this neighbourhood and you don’t need a car to get around everything is max 10 min walking distance . Golf booking avialable. entire place Authentic Egyptian breakfast can be arranged on request. I live down the road and airport pickup is available on request. Please book at least 2 days in advance. Last but not least there is a golf course 10 min walk from your home and “ Noon” a popular international yoga Center 7 min walk . It is quiet around the building so you don’t hear noise from the street. Starbucks / Costa coffee , Oscar , Gourmet groceries around the corner , the old British club established in 1886 is a 10 min walk opposite the Marriott , you can take a walk on the Nile ( 5 min away) felouka ( boat ) rides are also 10 min away . The Egyptian Museum is 30 min walk across the river Nile. While the National Museum Of Egyptian Civilisation is a 15 min drive! There are plenty of open air cafes , restaurants , bars and lounges nearby. There are also super markets around that have delivery service , there is also a reliable local laundry ( although your home has a washing machine / dryer) that can pick up and deliver your laundry on the same day!! There is MAXIME NILE BOAT that has a set dinner menu with Belly Dancer and the famous TANURA dance while cruising on the nile in the evening for 2 hours $50/person. Most of what you may need is within a short walking distance. There is also a Nile Taxi nearby that can take you to Maadi and back . There is a garage/ parking under the building that is available for you to park against a small tip to the operator EGY £ 20/ day = $1.5/day. I have a dedicated driver that my guests like to use with just a few hours notice for short trips but 24 hour notice for a trip to Alexandria and long distance trips . Dear Guests , The Health and safety of my guests , their visitors and communities is my top priority. I am committed to act responsibly and have placed numerous health and safety protocols and precautions in my listing to stop the spread of COVID-19. ~ Guests that hold dual citizenship , one of which is Egyptian, are considered as Egyptians in Egypt as per the ministry of interior . Example: An American / Egyptian dual citizen is considered Egyptian in Egypt. EGYPTIAN GUESTS ONLY*: Egyptian couples will be asked to prove they are legally married, which will be verified by my lawyer. Initially before booking a copy is sufficient but the original will need to be presented at check in so my lawyer can verify and will be returned back within 2 hrs . “ ORFI “ marriage certificates are not legal as they are not recognised by the Egyptian courts . If a legal certificate of marriage is not provided, a reservation cannot be accepted. *This applies to all Egyptians with an Egyptian citizenship or ID or passport. Please note that guests that hold an Egyptian passport or ID and another citizenship/ passport are considered as Egyptians in EGYPT as per the law and not foreigners or citizens of their other Nationality and will have to comply with above rules. IMPORTANT: Failure to provide original documents for verification at check in will result in refusal to enter the flat and there will be NO REFUND for money paid for your booking. ALL GUESTS and VISITORS : Due to the COVID-19 pandemic restrictions, at this time until further notice , access to the listing is limited only to the guests who have booked and maximum 2 visitors who have taken at least one shot of an approved vaccine by W.H.O. and /or a verified PCR test no more than 72 hrs before visiting . Guests and their visitors who have taken 2 shots no more than 6 months before check in are exempted from showing the required PCR test paper. These documents may need to be provided for verification before check in . VISITORS: Visitors need to register their valid ID with the security desk at the entrance of the building . Visitors who do not do that will not be allowed to enter the flat . Single Egyptian women are not allowed to visit single male as per Egyptian Law. EXTRA GUESTS: Extra guests that are booked in the listing will be charged extra and host must be notified in advance . Details of each extra guest must be provided in advance including passport copies. PRE-BOOKING: ALL GUESTS need to send an introductory message before confirming their reservation allowing me 24 hrs to respond, even though instant booking is open on my listing. Copy of passport needs to be provided before check in for registration purposes as per local law.Please do not hesitate to contact me for any clarifications you may have prior to booking.
