Tranquil river cabin with a 1950’s vibe

Watch evening sunsets, have cocktails on the dock or around the fire pit, enjoy boating the St Mary’s River, or bird-watching from the river room of this secluded space. Stargaze from the backyard (no light pollution here!). A boat ramp is nearby for boat launching. Heart-pine walls throughout give it a rustic, cabin-by-the-water feel (just what we were going for!). There is one double bed, a sofa bed and a twin-sized air mattress if needed (still in box). Cabin and surrounding yard, creek, woods are available for use. The floating dock is attached to a covered area that has built-in seating, and also barstools and tables (Website hidden by Airbnb) If you bring a boat, it can be launched at the public boat ramp which is outside of our property (just before our gate/driveway) and can be tied off at our dock during your stay. Cabin has dependable WiFi and smart tv. Pool and outdoor shower at main house are usually available for guests to use during summer. (It’s not always available, but more than likely will be - just check with us first.) Cabin has a creek on one side, river in front, and wooded areas on the other sides. Unlimited parking, room to park a boat trailer in the yard at the cabin. Boat can be left tied up to our dock, if you like. We are available to answer questions, and can easily be reached by text or by phone call, at any time. There is a neighborhood but we are a little removed from it. A long driveway, being surrounded by water on two sides, and wooded areas on the other two sides give the cabin a feeling of remoteness. After passing the main house, take a right (at the small sign with red arrow), and park in front of the door. Keep circling around to the left to exit the way you came in. Juice, fruit, four muffins, coffee (creamer/sugar/Stevia/coffee/filters) and bottled water, will be provided. We have a drip coffee maker and a toaster. Anything in the fridge and cupboards is there for your use. House Rules: Any cooking should be light, (example-heating up soup, cooking rice, reheating food). Please, NO frying or cooking anything that produces spatter or requires venting. The cabin isn’t equipped for it. At the end of your stay: ~place used linens/towels in the provided laundry basket ~tie off garbage and place in the can around the corner from the front door ~wash up any dishes used. That’s it! : ) Service/Assistance Animals: *As of 11/25/2020, we have been given an exemption by Airbnb from hosting any guests that require assistance animals, specifically assistance animals that are dogs. We regret that this measure is necessary, but for the safety of your service animal, it is (necessary).
