Beautiful new (2010) house in Mediterranean style located in 6 ha park with more than 700 olive trees, pine and palm trees. Breathtaking views of the sea and Stromboli. 2km to the beach and market. You need a car. If you need silence and rest this is your place. For 2 persons: 1 bedroom with living area, full kitchen with dining area, 1 bathroom, 1 covered terrace with dining area. We are on the hills of Tropea, in Calabria, South Italy, in a 6 ha park of palms and pines with 700 olive trees. From here you have easy access to the beautiful local beaches (2km Formicoli, 4km Tropea, 6km Capo Vaticano). Casa Meraviglia is a Villa with an exceptional view on the sea with the volcano Stromboli and the Eolian Island and the coast of Sicily with the volcano Etna. We rent the suite for 2-3 people with 1 spacious bedroom with living area, 1 bathroom, 1 kitchen (fully equipped) room with dining area and with direct access to the covered terrace with dining area. Internet access (wireless), washing-machine. What makes Casa Meraviglia unique is the peace, the silence and the beauty of the landscape and view. If you want to relax, meditate in nature, go to the sea and visit tourist places in and around Tropea, this is the place for you. There are delicious small restaurants serving local specialties in Brattiro' (1km), Tropea and all around the coast. You need a car. Wonderful private garden and park with stunning views of the sea; covered terrace Someone is always available when needed. The 'Costa degli Dei' (coast of the gods) of Tropea and Capo Vaticano (it begins at Pizzo in the north and ends at Nicotera in the south) is the richest part of Calabria for tourism. There are long sandy beaches and the smallest bays, some of them only accessible from the sea or by swimming. You can go snorkeling to discover amazing sea creatures or dive deep into the transparent sea. There are 'Lidi', (organized beaches with sun umbrellas) and many free public beaches. From Casa Meraviglia, the nearest beach is Formicoli, 2 km away. It is a wonderful 30 minute walk down a scenic path (but 45 minute walk back up the hill). The water is warm enough for swimming between May to the end of October. And the sea is not the only attraction! You can go on amazing hikes in the hinterland and discover steep canyons; or participate in guided hikes. In Tropea (4 km), there are bikes or mopeds for rent. Calabria is all to discover: not just the coast. You need a car. Outdoor parking is in the fenced property. The owners spend the summer in another house on the property with a nice big dog, who is free in the property. We also rent another completely independent unit on the property.
