It is surrounded by 2 acres of meadows and park land, shaded by old oak and other trees. Domestic animals are welcome after advise. The owners, who live close by, have neither dog or cat. Under the wooden beams a large living space unites kitchen, dining area, sitting- and sleeping room. The bathroom with toilet and shower is in a separate room. The kitchen area is equipped with 4 – flame gas cooker with stove, micro wave oven, coffee machine and refrigerator. Electric heating. Easy parking. Our guests can enjoy the tranquility of the surrounding meadows and woods. Near is the beach of the Arjuzanx lake and recreation area. We ourselves live near by and are happy to share our knowledge of the south-western part of France with our guests. The lake of Arjuzanx : From the Bergerie at a distance of 2,5 km with a large sandy beach, guarded during July and August, boat & canoe renting, parking and refreshment stand. During the summer it can be discovered by foot, on bicycle or on horseback. Guided tours are available year round by contacting the nature rangers at “Maison Barreyre”. The Regional Natural Park of the “Landes de Gascogne” : It offers many interesting excursions throughout the region: boat and canoe rides on the river “Leyre”, meandering through the forest to the basin of Arcachon; visiting the eco-museum of Marquèze at Sabres. The Atlantic Ocean, “Côte d'Argent” : Favorite bathing and surfing spots are Mimizan Beach, Contis Beach and Cap de l'Homy, 45 to 55 km from Arjuzanx. Within the heart of the region « the Landes », in the county of Morcenx, easily accessible by rail: station Morcenx (TER) or Dax (TGV), car: motorway A10, exit n° 14, towards Morcenx, highway n° D38 towards Mont de Marsan.
