Guests enjoy watching bald eagles, deer, turkey, and other wildlife from the spacious front lawn as well as visiting nearby farms, apple orchards and vineyards in this small rural community. You'll find hardwood floors throughout this space and historic family photos taken over 100 years ago by my great grandfather who was a professional photographer. Relax near the firepit at the end of the front lawn in hand-crafted red cedar Adirondack chairs. There's an abundance of firewood, small kindling wood and a picnic table for outdoor dining. Explore over 2 miles of walking trails on this 30-acre property including a 15 minute walk or drive to the Hudson River for swimming. Conveniently located only 90 minutes from New York City, it offers a variety of recreational activities nearby hiking, mountain biking, kayaking, antique shops and more! Parking is included for up to 2 cars, the Country Store is a short 3 minute drive which offers a warm family operated deli and larger food markets are a slightly further 15 minute drive. The commuter rail train station to New York City is a 20 minute drive in Poughkeepsie, NY. There is a quiet and respectful long-term tenant who lives upstairs from this vacation rental.
