Five Minute Walk to the Andaman Sea

Relax surrounded by coconut palms in a lush green setting just a five-minute walk to the lovely and quiet Bang Sak Beach on the Andaman Sea. Local Thai restaurants are moments away with papaya salad (Somtam) and BBQ chicken or freshly caught prawns to enjoy while watching the glorious beach sunset. This peaceful two bedroom apartment is run by a charity called Step Ahead Foundation. Your stay contributes to our operating costs and helps serve orphans and vulnerable families. Usually, my wife and I are busy traveling around Thailand visiting our projects, so you may not get to meet us. However, you can message me and I'll be back ASAP with help and suggestions. We are located on the main road between Khaolak Center and Takuapa. Our apartment is surrounded by lush green tropical flora and the best part is we are only a 5-minute walk to gorgeous Bangsak Beach! We highly recommend renting a motorcycle or car as our apartment is not in the touristy area of Khaolak. However, if you are looking for a quiet getaway from all the tourist trappings, we are perfect. You can walk to a local minimart for basics and there are several beach restaurants (a five-minute walk). On the main road, you can usually catch hourly passing buses going to Khao Lak town (20 minutes away) or Phuket (an hour and a half away). There are also Songteows (pick up trucks with 2 rows of seats in the back) that run up and down the coastal road, but make sure you settle the price before jumping in! We highly recommend renting a motorcycle or car because our place is a 20-minute drive south to touristy Khaolak Center and a 15-minute drive north to Takuapa. If you choose not to rent a vehicle, there are a few local restaurants and a minimart close by.
