Large Secluded Country Cottage - a hidden gem...
"Moorfield" is the complete country cottage experience, great for just getting away from it all. Easy parking, good wifi and dog friendly with magnificent views. In an area of outstanding natural beauty, it is a Victorian rustic-themed delight. Centrally heated throughout, three double bedrooms, two four poster beds and three bathrooms it has a quaint country garden and a 1 acre paddock. The beautiful Quantock Hills are one mile and beaches 10 miles away. Dog Sitting available. Peaceful... Entrance Hall with grandfather clock, well equipped kitchen and back kitchen/scullery with washing machine, tumble dryer and extra sink. Dining room for 6 with Victorian sideboard and french windows leading to the Terrace. Large Living Room with plenty of light, sofas, woodburner and logs, TV, telescope to enjoy the views, french windows again to Terrace. Upstairs, bathroom 1 with bath - east bedroom has en-suite bathroom with four poster bed. Bathroom 2 with bath and shower. South bedroom with queen bed and west bedroom with four poster bed. We have easy parking at the cottage for 4 cars. Travelling around has to be by car as public transport is very limited. This is a rural situation..... I am not always available but if there's an issue, please ring me and I can usually come and be with you to help. There is a local man to help with any animal problems and a handy DIY man in Bridgwater who can come and fix things. We'll make it work OK..... In the midst of the English countryside, very peaceful and in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Safe Children's Playground in Nether Stowey, one mile away. The Quantock Hills are stunningly beautiful and ideal for walking and running and excellent for dogs. There is a good local cafe - The Foxy Bean about half a mile away, open Wed to Sun. A car is essential to get around as there is no public transport. Main towns are Bridgwater- 9 miles, Taunton 14 miles and Minehead 18 miles There is a local general shop, Post Office and a butchers a mile away in Nether Stowey for basic needs but nearest proper supermarket is 8 miles at Bridgwater. I suggest stocking up with food and supplies before you arrive.. Lunch on the Terrace is a delight and there's a one acre enclosed paddock in front of the cottage for dogs and children to run about. Local friend comes on a Friday and put the bins out for rubbish collection.
