Our Covid19 preparations include a thorough clean between guests. We are both double vaccinated against COVID-19. Our guests must be double vaccinated for COVID-19 as well. Large comfortable home with your own 1 or 2 bedrooms, bathroom, large covered balcony and lounge room upstairs. Extra room, Airbnb listing "King Bed or Twin", available downstairs if you have a party of 5 or 6. Bedrooms are light and airy. Our virus free home awaits you. We are thoroughly cleaning your space and disinfecting surfaces daily. We are very mindful of physical distancing and washing hands etc as we do not want to contract this virus. As you will be staying in a seperate upstairs area it is possible to have no contact with us at all. The only shared space is the entrance and we have a lock box where you can let yourselves in and go directly upstairs. Let us know if this is what you prefer. Your balcony upstairs has a barbecue and overlooks the city and ocean. Own bathroom (shower) and sitting area. Shared kitchen and large bath downstairs available. Easy on street parking. A simple breakfast of cereals, toast, tea and coffee is available. Most people comment on the view from the upstairs balcony, also the largeness of the home. It is always clean and tidy but at the same time you will feel it is a homey home away from home. There is air conditioning as well as an over-bed fan and regular on-shore ocean breezes. The guest area is fully carpeted. There are 18 steps in the two flights of stairs to the upper guest area. There is a second bedroom available upstairs with a queen bed for a set fee per night for each extra guest if you desire. If you have a party of 5 or 6 people you can book our extra room downstairs. Note that we do not charge for cleaning nor do we require a security deposit and we provide your beach towels. Guests will have free access to all areas of the home. But should be noted you have a nice space of your own if you desire to get away. There is a bar fridge and tea and coffee making facilities exclusively for your use. The barbecue on your balcony is also available to you for cooking. You have your own bathroom, no need to share. Guests are also welcome to share in other spaces in the house including the kitchen and all the appliances. We are very open to interaction with guests to help them with sight seeing, food options and just general friendly discussions. Merewether is a premier Newcastle suburb because of its beachside qualities. Newcastle is an excellent place to visit. It is close to Sydney, beach, bay, bush and has an active night life. Our home is within easy walking to beach, restaurants, clubs and pubs. Bus stop nearby. If travelling by car traffic is easy. Walking to many places of interest is possible from Merewether. The scenic coastal walk into the CBD is about 5 Kms and should take an hour. Happy to pick you up from the train or bus station. Williamtown Airport is about 30 minutes by road from Wickham Interchange which is also the bus terminus. A taxi is about $65 or Uber may be as low as $45. The bus, pscoaches com au , costs about $5 with sometimes more than an hour between services. Check their website for the timetable and phone them for the fare. There is a ferry from near the terminus to Stockton, a short trip across the Hunter River for a day of more pristine beaches and the breakwater walk.
