You will feel right at home in this cosy, two bedroom cottage situated on a tidal estuary. Only 5-10 minutes' walk to the river and beach. Fully equipped kitchen and two heating options. Easy day trip to Stanley Village or the Tarkine. Pick seasonal herbs and vegies from the garden. Note: Sleeps 4 with a queen bed and a double bunk. Shop is within walking distance and the Rocky Cape Tavern serves excellent meals. Traffic noise is heavy through the week. No big supermarkets close by! Large dining room and a comfy lounge area. Deck out the back for relaxing with electric barbeque. Large grassed area leads down to the estuary and river. Perfect for families of four. An extra single mattress can be provided. Whole house. There is one queen and a double bunk bed. Shower facilities only. Outside deck and access to seasonal fruits and vegies in the garden. We live next door at number 13! We live on the deck in summer. The water is very clean and safe, full of mullet, flathead and salmon. The shallow water us safe for swimming when the tide is in. 10 minute walk to the beach when the tide is out. Walk to the Detention River Store or the beach. The Rocky Cape Tavern offers free pick up and drop off to save drinking and driving. Call them on (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) Wifi and mobile reception is poor in our area. If you are reliant on these things, our place is not for you! A landline service is provided. There is no oven but microwave and cooktop facilities are provided. Breakfast is available on request for $7.50 per person, payable in cash. There are teo general stores and a Tavern in the area. There is a small supermarket at Stanley, otherwise please stop in Burnie or Wynyard for supermarket shopping.
